^Yeah I'd go with that really since intentions are sometimes hard to communicate even in real life. I found out years later that a girl in junior high was reeeeaaallllyy into me but she thought I wasn't intrested since I didn't pick up on her signals, and when I learnt this is it was quite too late seeing as she's now married with a kid 
My point being, some are just dense in picking up signals, me included. Just tell them.

Yeah, I've been ridiculously dense my whole life. I've been known to go on dates that I hadn't realized were dates, to not realize a guy was interested in me until he confessed he was in love with me, and I thought my husband hated me in high school. Turns out he was falling in love with me.
Some people are just bad at picking up on signs.

^ Exactly. Why not just tell them out right and stop beating around the bush. For example, I consider flirting a form of social currency and tend to ignore it, even when serious. Basically if you want my attention your best bet is to be bold. It might not work on everyone but you won't know their true feelings until do more than "wave your arms around".
Oh and a word of advice... don't be creepy about it. As someone who has had his fair share of creepy "Love PM's" around here be sure to carefully choose your words. Gushing can appear as stalking... or be an indication of some form of madness.
Short, to the point and non-intrusive is best.

I figured out that TSQ was TheStrangeQuark. I'm not too familiar with her posts (I just found out she was a her!) so that explains why. But, yeah, I'm not going to confuse her with TLS.

Until you meet in person, and establish a relationship of some kind, it's really not a romance. It's an online friendship which may or may not last when you meet IRL.
Well these two may have met, I don't know. I'd guess they have (or would like to guess they have!). It's tough to qualify what real love is but love over the internet is... dicey at best.
