For ages, a civilization much like our own, has looked up into the night sky, gazing at the infinite stars above, and asked itself two questions...
"Are we alone?"
"Is anybody out there?"
Now, on the eve of that civilization's 22nd century, the nations and peoples of their world shall come together in unity, to embark upon the greatest challenge their world has ever undertaken...
An expedition will be launched, consisting of three gigantic laser-sail powered starships, crewed by a handful of the world's greatest astronauts, and an arsenal of small robots and probes. The expedition's mission: to set a course for the closest star, and see if any world orbits it... in particular, if any world capable of supporting life orbits it.
As the world watches, the brave astronaut crews of the three massive starships sets sail towards its destination...
