My cousin was an RA and a Hostess in the Fulmer Era. She told me that one time a recruit got too handsy during a visit. Fulmer sent him home and stopped recruiting him. One of my best gfs in middle and high school was in charge of recruiting visits under Dooley. I forget her exact position but she basically hosted the families and scheduled visits and attended games. She made sure Mom, Dad, and junior all had fun and worked as a go between for families and players. That is before and after Kiffin right there. Normally that’s the kind of shit that doesn’t count for much on a message board but you’ve known me for eons now so you can decide on its veracity. I have no insight into Pruitt but most of what he did was small amounts of cash. The Haslams are more interested in getting their name on everything.
They also gave Deshaun Watson $230 guaranteed after he settled with 20+ woman that accused him of sexual misconduct.
Still, I appreciate your perspective. But can you say the same is true in Gainesville and Austin and Columbus and Los Angeles?

It's absolutely hilarious that FSU got beaten *twice* now by unranked teams. And to add insult to injury, BC had 1st and goal on the 4 yard line with about 1:30 left, and they just kneeled instead of going for it. I'm so looking forward to seeing what the rankings look like!
Since my daughter is currently in the Auburn band, we went for their game against Alabama A&M. Yes, it's a cupcake game (as evidenced by the score, and apparently CFB has mercy rules!), but that stadium was absolutely *packed* nearly the entire game! It was insanely hot, but it was fun!

Big Jim is the UT connection. Jimmy lost a lot of power and interest when the Schiano revolt happened which was as much about him as anything else. Randy Boyd, Donde Plowman and Danny White have finally established real control and leadership which we hadn’t had since Doug Dickey retired.

I mean all sports are corrupting to some extent. Competition and money brings out the worst in people but I do think bigger programs are getting cleaner in the sense that NIL money is open. A lot of recruiting analysts have said it matters less now than it did because now every program is going to offer a fat deal. Kids are making decisions based on other things like what kind of long term plan do you have. I’m sure some are using sex still but as easy as sex is to come by on a college campus my guess is that most are just making sure they know the right parties. Players are professionalized now and that’s going to have consequences. Screwing up now hurts their bottom line or voids a contract.
A ton has changed and will continue to change because of it. And I don’t think the public will have the same tolerance to major problems that they did when kids weren’t making bank.
I saw Cal upset Auburn today. Good for them. Hopefully they win more games.

Notre Dame could go 0-12 and still make the preseason top 25 the next season.
