College Football 2024

Boise State won ugly at Wyoming. Wyoming is always a tough road trip. Ashton Jeanty ran for 169 yards and a TD despite being "banged up". Broncos are still playing for a first round bye, but CFP and ESPN would love to find some way to screw them and put in someone they see as more attractive for ratings. No margin for error. Just win baby!

Last night during the USC/UCLA game…

After the final play of the first half, UCLA committed 3 separate personal fouls. When they kicked off for the second half, they did so from their own 5 yard line.

I’d never seen that before!

So, Ohio State knocks off Indiana, and their prize is an extra game against Oregon, before the playoff even starts?

I'm thinking Indiana dodged a bullet.

UGA locked up a SEC title spot yesterday without anyone including them knowing it. They’re going to wind up playing Texas or TAMU (likely Texas). I’m not sure who that sucks for more. Texas who could lose to the same opponent twice or UGA who faces a revenge driven opponent. Either could get knocked out by losing.

And to make matters worse, I’d take an OOC opponent over a bye any day.

That was a new one for me too. SC looked absolutely awful last night. The score should have been 31-19, by all rights. Hate to say it as an alum, but ND is going to steamroll them next week. Lincoln Riley is a 180 million buck pig in a poke.

If I had a nickel for every time I got to see a field rush in person at a different stadium this year, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it's happened twice!

That was an insane ending! Auburn should have had it wrapped up before the end of regulation, but a missed field goal and several lousy calls spoiled that.

Nebraska has been a dumpster fire for 25 years, but hey - we're finally bowl game-eligible for the first time since 2016!

Refs hosed Tech in the 2nd half.

That was an unbelievable game. 8 overtimes!

There was a PI call on GT late in the 4th quarter which was total BS.

I felt really bad for Haynes King. He played the game of his life: 303 passing yards, 110 yards rushing yards and five total TDs, but his fumble deep in their own territory let Georgia back in.

One of the best college games I've ever watched.
