Colin Trevorrow's Script Leaks - Apparently Was "Much Better" Than Rise Of Skywalker

That sounds awful blah and I actually hate the title.

I rather the 'throw everything to the window and see what sticks' that just needed another rewrite to actually, have Skywalker rise in some way.

Apparently this ..i guess.. Somewhat confirms its validity ... As it being from a concept art book. And looks like a sith.. Spider? Or like a thing growing off a fish head?
One of the script writers have said that it's not related to Trevorrow's script and from the way I read it none of that artwork has anything to do with it.

Maybe the adult video industry can come up with some ideas.

If im picking and choosing the idea of a sith "yoda" in some swamp is a bit crap.. Would rather kylo find a holocron and old paps teach him than a zombie or a dirt old with spider/fish..
Not a bad design, but the article does place some doubt on that being Palpatine's master. I would expect the big bad sith master to be scarier, and more intimidating.

3 pictures and everyone's like "It would have been so much better!!!!!!:wah::wah::wah:"

It looks like video game concept art.

Some good stuff. Nothing that I'm over the moon about.

Nothing that makes me go, "Yeah, that's way better." It's the same concepts just repackaged.

Fandom is weird.

I think I do like it more than what we got... It finally shows exactly what the first order is doing it seems.

Excuse me while I go take a cold shower.

Leia and BB-8 (Possibly Leia recording the hologram)

The danger is that it is just pictures. We are all filling in the gaps of how awesome it looks with none of the dialog or connective tissue.

So, it's basically wish fulfillment in picture form. Of course it looks good.

There's no danger. Nothing will happen. Don't worry. CSI is not on the case.

Imagine if The Last Jedi script had leaked early. Summaries of "Hobo Luke drinking alien breast milk as he enjoys letting it run down his mouth". There would be a lot of stuff in that to make people ill. But with some stunning visuals as TJL had then things don't seem to be as bad.

A significant number of people absolutely hated TLJ...

And the moment Rian Johnson's announced trilogy starts filming is the moment I will believe that Disney wasn't disappointed with how TLJ was received.

Agreed with this characterization.

The headlines carrying this story delightfully declare victory: "Colin's idea/script/art for DOTF is/was better! Everyone wanted this instead than JJ's!"
The majority of comments and conversations under those headlines seem to indicate otherwise.
I'm relieved now, knowing what we might have had instead of TROS.

There's some cool looking artwork there, but all that means is they had good concept artists working on the movie, it doesn't mean anything for the quality of the movie.
Worked for The Last Jedi. When I think about memorable moments I think of the hyperspace jump, the battle on crait, Luke and Kylo facing off, Rey in the cave, the throne room. The effects brought the concept art to life for that movie.

I'm a very visual person, so I'm a little more forgiving of movies if they are visually interesting, but I still want at least some kind of a decent story to go with them. The visuals are a big part of why I like the Prequels, but they still had good stories buried until the iffy dialogue and direction.
