Sounds to me like he just didnt like all the homosexuality going on (the Captain Jack kiss the constant references etc) - dont forget Eccleston is a pretty old guy and old people tend to be a lot less tolerant about such things than young people are.
What tosh, he's about the same age as me.
Age has nothing to do with being bigoted, there are plenty of young homophobic idiots out there..
You know, I think that if someone doesn't necessarily agree with the point of view of homosexuality, then they are instantly labeled a bigot.. is so wrong..
if someone disagrees with a point of view I have, then I am okay with that, yet there are those who instantly jump on others because they aren't accepting of their lifestyle, or whatever.. it's hypocritical in my point of view..
so what if Chris isn't fond of homosexuality.. does that mean he should be chastised for his own right to hold his own opinion.. if we forced everyone to like or agree with everything in the world, then it would be a pretty boring place.. dissenting opinions are what makes life interesting..disagreeing with homosexual themes in a job is much different from being a bigot and kicking the crap out of a gay person for the simple pleasure of hatred..
I don't think Chris is a bigot, just not on the same page as some.. I myself am not gay, I think that if someone were gay they can certainly exercise that right.. but were I forced to support that point of view in a job, and have that affect my beliefs, I might walk away as well..but I am no bigot..just disagree

Indeed, Eccleston's well-known homophobia is why he only worked with Russell T Davies on
The Second Coming and never again.
why does there have to be a label put on a different opinion.. why do people have to accept every point of view for them to not be considered a homophobe or bigot.. it's maddening..
I don't like calling the sport of soccer- football, because here in the US we call football- soccer.. so that must make me a FOOTBALLAPHOBE CAUSE I PREFER SOCCER as the term instead of football.. so I am a bigot cause I think it should be called soccer, even if the game of football was called football in many other countries before the advent of American football..
why do those who seek not to be labeled because they share a different point of view then the rest, then turn around and label all those who are not accepting of their point of view as a bigot, racist, homophobes, chauvinist, liberal, conservative, neo-con, capitalist pig, communist, and so on, and so on..
I think if Chris wants to disagree with working in a job that promotes homosexuality then that is his right as a human being..and should not be labeled something evil. those who promote tolerance should look the other way and promote tolerance of those who disagree as well..otherwise it is hypocritical to force those who aren't of the same mind into following along..
you know what, and to just be fair, I think I am going to be overly heterosexual today around some people I know are openly homosexual.. and if they scoff at me and disagree with my point of view, I am going to have to label them heterophobic..
