Black, white and silver -I love it (even if it is plastic) :bolian:

I intend to unpack my own 'tree' tomorrow -will post it right here!

I haven't put up a Christmas tree in years. I never actually spend Christmas at my own house, so the tree wouldn't serve a purpose. I've debated putting one up this year just for the sake of being festive, but I'm not sure I care that much.

I'm feeling too lazy to put up a tree this year. Maybe I'll feel like it closer to the day. It's not that I don't like Christmas, I do, it's just the thought of having to unpack the tree, and then struggle to repack it just a couple of weeks later, isn't filling me with festive cheer. A real one is even more hassle. :D

I'll get me tree fix vicariously through this thread. :p

The last time I had a Christmas tree was in college, and we didn't take it down until we moved out of our house...in May.

I am intimidated by the sheer amount of decorations in aunties thread, and I promised it earlier, so here is my 'tree':

The foreshortening makes it looks as if the cat is as big as the tree. That would be a very hungry cat. :D

I have an artificial tree I put up sometime shortly after thanksgiving. It's nice to have a tree that won't rot before the actual day, and I think I was allergic to the tree smell, even though it was a great tree smell.

I haven't put up a Christmas tree in ages. We were going to do it today, but John was called in to work. I can't wait to have it up. I'll post pictures when it is done. :)

^Allergies are part of why I switched to artificial trees years ago.

Well, there is still fun to be had putting up an artificial tree. Yeah you're not going outside to cut one down (Or buying one at your local tree lot) but at least you won't get sick, you can put it together, and it's still fun decorating it. I used to do it every year the day after Thanksgiving, but I started going to a yearly event with a friend that day so sometimes it was on Thanksgiving night or the weekend. It's all fun.

I make a day of it:
I take the big standing fan down into the cellar, where I take the plastic dust cover off the xmas tree and put it on the fan, I then carry the tree up and place it where the fan stood and vice-versa sometime in spring :)

Since I'm lazy, I have a three part fake tree that I leave the lights on. I enjoy the drama as I plug the lights into the socket. I always hope that they survived the year without being damaged in the attic. It's always rewarding when you see that they are all still working.

^And I was surprised to find that I apparently had removed the lights last time I put the 'tree' away for the summer

Worse: I don't remember where I put them! -and I have three of those sets of lights that I cant find

A bit early for a christmas tree IMHO. Usually the tree is cut down/bought on 23rd and brought in and decorated on 24th.

^that seems like a lot of trouble to go through for just a couple of days. (at least with as many decorations as my family puts on our tree)
