Also, one wonders how such a situation could've played out between Silverblood!Voyager and Voyager, had they joined forces.

True, but even now it's hardly unknown for people to marry the sibling of a dead spouse, and it works out as often as it goes wrong (it was far more common obviously in the days when marriages were more dynastic than romantic).

It happens, but marrying a sibling of a dead spouse is yet more psychologically unstable behavior--as its usually the product of the widow/widower attempting to recapture the feeling and/or essence of the deceased, not willing to accept the reality of one passing on, and playing a cracked wish fulfillment fantasy where the sibling's true self is expected to become that of the dead.

Its a far worse situation in the case of Chapel, who was dealing with a machine--soulless and Korby in name/image only, yet there would be some observers thinking she should have treated the artificial thing as if he was a living being--the same as the real man.

It's no wonder the view of copies and\or impersonators lead to--

"Is that Nancy, doctor??"

...and similar statements.
