I'm popping in here to say that I saw Chris Pine in his first ever acting role today in an ER rerun on TNT, "A Thousand Cranes". He was a patient, and only appeared briefly (though he did have a couple lines). It was a pleasant surprise.

I think they named the character "Luther" because it was reminiscent of "Lucifer."Yes, Confession came out in 2005 -- and it's pretty easy to remember how old Chris is, because he was born in 1980. This character above, "Luther," was supposed to be 17 -- younger than the character he played on The Guardian two years earlier at 23, who had just started college.
Chris, thanks so much for that video! I was hoping to catch that one day and make a DVD of it and get some screen caps.

I can tell you, there was nothing in the Chris-alert mailbag I wanted to report today, since there was apparently a media blitz about Chris being linked with Olivia Munn. It sounds like the Audrina Partridge thing; but at least Audrina did not eat a naked hot dog on video. Sometimes I think Chris is trying to get street cred with guys by getting hooked up with bad women. He was pretty scarred by the rom-com rep.

I am not going to believe it until I see a picture. He's been working non-stop on a film so how the heck he's had time to carry on a month-long serious relationship seems quite a stretch. Someone's publicist or agent may be wanting some publicity for their client in the romantic department. Time will tell with this one.
