Chris Pine appreciation thread

Pam, PD2 is pretty cheap now; the widescreen version with extras is $13.49 at Amazon. It has 4 stars and 154 reviews, which is not bad; so maybe it will grow on you.
Also, interesting that you like physics and astronomy. When I was in college a couple decades ago at the U. of Arizona, I had a student job at the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory there. It was a cool place; I often see people I met there as experts on television programs -- like Carolyn Porco recently. One of our grad students became a space-shuttle astronaut (Captain Tom Jones).
Randi, Pam was saying that she had a program she got online for making screen caps. (The one I use is just a little Applescript that goes on my DVD player program.) And I've been having pretty good luck with my eyes lately; thanks!

Wow, thanks, Jeri, for the cute pictures from Confession. He looks adorable. He looks about 12 in the priest outfit. I may have to get that one, too. I've seen some of the bloopers from the movie and it looks like they had a lot of laughs.
That's really cool about your student job. I wish I had gone into those fields when I was starting out but I didn't. Sometimes you don't know what your interests are going to be when you "grow up."

Just finished watching one of my Netflix rentals - I Love You Man. It was kind of sweet...crude in some places. Showed one of the guys watching Chocolat starring Johnny Depp. That was cool. Best thing about watching it, however, was that it had my favorite trailer for STXI. Awesome! Can't wait, now. 11 days!
The trailer was in the movie -- or as a preview before the movie? I haven't seen it, but it looks like people think it was funny.
I thought Chocolat was pretty good; I kinda like Juliette Binoche (and she got to nuzzle around with Naveen Andrews). Johnny Depp lives in France, and Juliette Binoche is from there; so it was kind of interesting to see them in their element. I've been to Paris, but it was a long time ago.
In the Chris-alert mailbag this morning was a link to a review and features of the upcoming BD, in case someone hasn't seen one yet and wants to mull over what possible Chris there is in the extra features.
Also, there is this funny blog excerpt from a woman who is clearly a Chris fan:

"...Quick story that just happened: I almost peed my pants in the elevator.
First, you have to understand the mindset I was in: I work in a building on Madison Ave where I see Anna Wintour on pretty much a weekly basis because she gets her hair done in a salon on another floor. Also seen in the lobby or around are Ivanka Trump, Tom Wolfe, etc - seeing a celebrity every now and then is not that surprising, but it's always fun.
So I saw Anna Wintour this morning from an elevator vantage point, and she looked impeccable, and then I got on an elevator an hour later and there was a guy on there who from the side angle looked exactly like Chris Pine. I stared blatantly at him because I didn't know if it was him or not. He was wearing a plaid shirt and jeans and slip-on sneakers. For those brief moments I considered: if I really am in an elevator with Chris Pine, I HAVE to say something, right? A picture with my iPhone? Pass him the number of one of my single friends for his "time in New York"?? WHAT DO I DO?
But then my death stare (it must have seemed that way to everyone else in the elevator, not the very least to the "man in serious question" himself) got a reaction from Chris Pine-y (yeah, I definitely made him uncomfortable with my mouth agape and all) because he stared back at me face-full-on and I realized that no, this man is not the matinee idol from Star Trek. No, he's not that top five-r. He's just a really hot dude who works in my building. BOO..."
So, I notice in this picture that in addition to the mole near his right ear, Chris has one on his right thigh.

Call me crazy, but i HATED that underwear they had him wearing. It looked like droopy drawers (draws?)
i LOVED that scene in Confession when he is wearing the priest's outfit. He looks, ahem, ADORKABLE (Pam, a million thanks for that word!!).. and of course, the line in the extra features, "Just let it happen." *squeeeee!*

Here's a picture of Kirk from one of my favorite scenes in the movie. Both he and Bruce Greenwood were awesome in this scene. Here's hoping that Pike will be in the next movie and they have some more great scenes together.

Why Jeri, thank you for pointing 'that' out!!!!!!! Really though, that underwear annoys me. The color makes me think it's dingy. Should have been either white or a color. Ok, you know there is something seriously wrong with me when i am complaining about what underwear he is wearing!!!!!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! JERI!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT SITE IS INCREDIBLE!!!!!! That must have been a lot of work for whoever did those screen caps. And if you jump forward there are caps of my favorite line, "I've got your gun!" with Chris looking into Ayel's face. Awesome! Im bookmarking that site for sure. Thank you for posting it!
