Chris Pine appreciation thread

Hey Jeri,
OMG, i had forgotten about Jane Seymour in that wacky role of hers!! I agree, Blind Dating isnt half bad...the only thing that i thought was stupid was the surgery side story (i felt that was just a little ridiculous)...otherwise it was very enjoyable. And i agree, Chris is very good in the movie.

As far as his contacts go, i don't think they are eye color changing lenses...they don't seem blue enough to do that (seeing the part that lays on the white of his eyes). I believe these days all contacts have a slight tint to them so that you can see them easily if you lose one (like in the sink, on the eyeball etc)....and of course, i do want to believe that his eyes are that amazing color all on their own.

OH! You know, dopey me never even thought of asking JP to make me a Sombrero Chris avatar. The fellow in my photo is Michael C Hall who plays Dexter the serial killer in Showtime's Dexter. I needed a change from Yeoman Rancid's picture...and figured El Dextero was appropriate for Halloween, him being a serial killer and all.......

Oh, I see. I have never watched Dexter yet; I'll get around to it in a decade or so. It's not rotten enough yet, as my husband says. I prefer the term "aged."

You're probably right about contacts; it makes sense they'd tint them to be seen better.

However, that brain-surgery subplot in the movie was legit, surprisingly enough. I wondered about that, too; and the husband said there actually is something like that going on, although not quite as successful as what the movie character was seeing.

What is Chris like in Blind Dating I haven't seen that film but I have seen The Princess Diaries 2 and Just My Luck Chris was brilliant in those films. any thoughts

No, please no Just My Luck. You see, Chris is very unlucky in that movie and we don´t need it here. Instead, ask for that pic in a Star Wars forum.

I know he is a nerd at first but did you not think he was cool not as cool as he is in Star Trek who was awesome as James T Kirk.

He´s an unlucky nerd and he´s good in it too. Pine is a very fine actor.

But Startrekrocks and all other women in this thread are you worthy of Chris? Are as good-looking as he is? Can you cook? Do you want to move to LA?

I am going to post some screen caps from Blind Dating, but it may take a few days.

Here's the menu card from Blind Dating. It's a fun movie; I'd recommend it to any Chris fan -- he's in practically every scene. (Yes, that's Jane Seymour as his therapist.)

The movie was filmed in Ogden, Utah.

Chris's character is blind from birth; but it doesn't slow him down much, except for dating it turns out.

My husband pointed out that Chris has the "thousand-yard stare" down pretty well.

Isn't he? His character ("Danny") was reciting the Bogart lines from Casablanca along with the television; it made him smile. And I think he really does play guitar.

Here he's poking his head out of the window when his basketball buddy comes by. Patented Chris Pine smile (TM).

In this one, Danny is just entering the doctor's office, right before he slips on that kid's toy and falls flat on his back.
