Chris Pine appreciation thread

Here's the last Guardian batch; I think this first one here is my favorite. Chris has a nice, strong neck, even as a kid. The kind to sink the dragon's teeth in and carry him back to her lair.

I was born in the year of the Dragon; what can I say. That's just how a dragon's mind works.

GOOD FOR HIM!!! Maybe its seeing these baby pics of him that is making it difficult for me to see him in the role. AND i know i have Harrison Ford embedded in my brain in the role.
That's the thing - I was thinking of the Jack Ryan from the early books, who was close to the same age as Alec Baldwin in Red October but 15 or 20 years younger than Harrison Ford in his outings; in the books, the character had problems initially being taken seriously as an expert by Washington bigshots because of his relatively youthful age. That's the Ryan I can see Pine playing.

That first picture is one of my favorites. I think that series was from GQ, is that right Jer? The photographer really captured some pretty magnificent pictures of Chris and Zach that day.

M, i had completely forgotten about Alec Baldwin playing Jack Ryan. You're right!

How can you forget his Sean Connery impression, while crawling around in the missile room?
Ryan: (talking to himself) "Ryan, some things in here don't react well to bullets." Yeah, like me. I don't react well to bullets.

^ M, i'm old and senile. Thats why! That WAS a great scene.

Of course, now i have the SNL skit in my head (because you mentioned the Sean Connery impersonation) of "Sean Connery" playing Jeopardy.... (I'll take the rapists for $200 please.....
THATS THERAPISTS Mr Connery)

The GQ shoot featured all those summer suits with the light colors. This one, for example:

And there's this one from the GQ 2008 Party:

Yes, you are right! Those summer suit pics are really lovely. The second picture you posted is interesting...his hair is so long there. I think, no, i KNOW i prefer shorter hair on him. Oh hell, who am i kidding? I love him every which way.

Thanks for that GQ link Jeri. Wonderful!!!!

Wow, that one is a beauty! Last night I went to Amazon and bought all of Chris's movies on DVD, so I will be making some more screen caps time to time.

OH FUN!!! I checked them out a couple of weeks ago and they were VERY reasonably priced. I can't wait to see what you come up with in the way of screen caps!

BTW, you can see his blue tinted contact lenses in that last picture i posted...

He has tinted contacts? How can you tell...what color are the eyes naturally? They looked gray when he wore a gray shirt.

Well, all the movies came today! I got Amazon Prime shipping, and now everything is coming in two days.

I think I'm going to start with "Blind Dating," because the DVD box stem was cracked, and the DVD was loose in the package. Need to see if ths DVD is ok; I started the movie, and the technical quality looks ok so far. But I got to say, the movie looks really cute!

P.S. Is that him in the sombrero? I approve, if so.

Ok, the Blind Dating disc is not damaged -- and I have to say that Chris did a bangup job playing a young blind man. He's got acting chops. That movie was much better than I thought it might be. It was thoroughly enjoyable. Jane Seymour was hilarious.
