Rules are simple: you are told you cannot watch any but just *one* movie for the upcoming year.
Which do you choose? Poll is above, choose after thinking, most welcome to give a brief explanation for your choice.

That's easy---none. Watchmen has the most potential, but it's also the most easily abused because it's got problems. The rest? You wonder why they were made.

Avatar is James Cameron, plain and simple. Out of principle I want to vote for it, but the script I read a few years back didn't exactly inspire me so I'm gonna go with Watchmen.

Underworld 3 followed by Transformers 2 and T4. Oh and there's also Star Trek and Wolverine. 2009 should be fun.

Terminator - So far, this one has me the most excited. I really liked the trailers and many of the designs so far. I love T1, really like T2 and enjoy T3 a lot. So I'm thinking I'm at least going to enjoy this one. Plus it has Bale in it whose work I've been liking a lot.

Star Trek with Watchmen coming in second.

Wolverine I'll check out on DVD unless a friend drags me or something. Maybe Avatar too depending on what the word of mouth is like.

The rest of them look pretty brutal.

Watchmen looks simply amazing, and having read the graphic novel, I am anxious to find out if they were able to truly transpose it into the movie. It was after all one of the best things I had ever read.

There's only 4 films there that I actually want to watch. I would have liked to have seen Underworld but it's a prequel.

The films I've widdled it down to is Star Trek (obviously), X-Men: Origins, Terminator Salvation (it's got christian bale, it's going to be good), and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Personally, it's going to be Transformers for me. Star Trek is good, but it doesn't have probably the best film of 2007 running behind it.

If I must choose one, obviously Trek, maybe Watchmen after that.

But this could be good too:

If I had to pick only one, Star Trek.

I will see all of these in the theater:

Watchmen
Terminator: Salvation
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Avatar
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Don't care about the other three, though I might check out Underworld and Night at the Museum as DVD rentals if I hear good things.

It's Star Trek for me, though I'll definitely see Watchmen and Transformers in the theater, and will most likely rent Wolverine on DVD when it comes out.
