Thanks for the feedback about the cheers-poster. It's not really important, I was just wondering as I happened to discover a post by a newbie (or returnee, rather) who used that sig. I'll simply invite him here as soon as he gets PM privileges and then we'll see if he's in the mood for a coming-out 
I think a few spinoffs might have survived under different names. Like ExIsle which is SlipstreamBBS newly labeled (and much better led!) or Muked which was renamed to SDG.

yep. I checked the other day when I was looking for the cheers sig. I also noticed that mm doesn't own the domain any longer. Do you happen to know what caused her to withdraw? On KHCMB she used to be such a gentle and friendly poster. It'd be great if she'd become that again but I fear a decade can't be erased that easily.

LOL that reminds me of Wonko the Sane, one of my favourite duals on this board (I know who it was but I won't rat him out as he never trolled). Remember his sig? "you are all insane!"
Ah, the great memories of days long gone. Of an era in the Trek BBS we'll never again see the likes of. Of the people we knew and loved or at the very least tolerated without openly flaming them.

It's an age thing - getting older mellows the heart (and later the brain...) 
He probably would have been let back in if he hadn't dozed one of the owners and a a few other posters. To keep a long story short, I thought the initial ban was BS (I wasn't an owner at the time), but his behavior afterwards hasn't done him any favors. Even the TKers who have hated WF for most of their history have been rolling their eyes.
Kitty and Trekaholic are still keeping an eye on you.
I suddenly have a vision of Kitty and Trekaholic (with blood-shot eyes, of course) staring at a wall filled with my posts and muttering "There's something here....I know it...He'll mess up one of these days...and then we'll nab him." In case they're wondering...I'm playing the really long game. The key pieces of the puzzle don't fit together until sometime around 2042.

I joined the very afternoon I found the BBS. No lurking. No waiting. No hesitation.
I jumped right in and have been stuck in one of the front seats of this insane roller coaster ride ever since. Call me crazy or bold. Or both. Both apply in this situation.

The funniest thread I can remember from the old days was "Star Trek Porn Titles" where episode titles from all the shows were made filthy with the change of a word or two to each. I wish it had survived the years...
