Trek really is rich with one-offs they could revisit. I’d like find out who created that water planet in VOY’s “Thirty Days” by siphoning all the water from their own planet into a ball and setting it off into space. What did they do with their own planet? Coruscant?
It would be interesting to see what happened to Hannah Bates and Miranda Yale. Both were scientists who became dissatisfied with the pace of change on their home worlds and asked Picard to take them to Federation space.
But 20+ years later, I could see them becoming disillusioned. At home they were well-respected and at the top of their fields. But they'd have had to go back to school for years just to come up to speed on current tech, or else they'd need to find something else to do with their lives.

That would actually be really cool. We’d be able to get an actor we like playing the species he’s great at, and it fits in-universe too — no flashback or alternate reality or hologram needed.Gul Macet
But how would he look exactly? He’d have his little Cardassians hair tufts sure, but would his makeup be browner to closer match what Macet specifically looked like, or would we see a total Dukat doppelgänger?
They’d have to change the Cardassian uniform too, if he’s still in the military. For one, that regime probably doesn’t exist anymore after the Fall of Cardassia, but also the gray uniform would be too Dukat and the brown one not in service for a while. Unless he was part of another branch, “The Eighth Order” say, that wore a distinct, maybe historical uniform.
It might be cool also to see regardless which makeup they choose, how they update it for contemporary HD TV screens and makeup capabilities.
Maybe we could have Dukat appearing as a wraith? Perhaps in a new attempt to escape the fire-caves or something...
