Characters I'd like to have met each other

I also wanted to see Data and Bashir together again. I know we got to see them together on TNG but I did want to see DS9 return the favor and invite him over there, post Doctor Bashir I Presume (so they could match brains). Maybe he'd catch up with O'Brian and Worf, find a kindred spirit in Odo like @Triskelion mentioned, and get swindled by Quark.

Jadzia was supposed to appear in TNG but she was too busy filming Move Along Home so the character was switched to Bashir instead. It does make more sense for Dax to be involved in Data's storyline but I enjoyed Bashir's appearance regardless.

It feels like both of their alpha dog attitudes would get in the way of everything if they were both captains. I think it could only work if one of them were a commander or both were and they're following orders of a Captain (Captain Jellico would be interesting).

I'd have liked have to seen TOS's Ensign Garrovick in the TNG Admiral Jameson role as Admiral Garrovick. It would've been nice to connect that career from young pup to experienced veteran. .
