Production Halted?
Did Axanar's director just let slip that production is on hold until the lawsuit is resolved?

Well, the stipulation allowing an extension of time to answer specifically says there can be no shooting or filming (pre-production and other ancillary activities are not specified).

He's going further than that, though, jespah. He's talking about "all production" until the lawsuit "is resolved." The stipulation expires on Monday, and resolution, short of a surprise settlement, is much farther off. Given his other post later in the same thread, RMB sounds downright dour about Axanar's chances.

Here's how the filing describes the extension:
"Defendants have agreed that no shooting or filming of the motion picture entitled Axanar will commence or continue through the date of the extension." [emphasis added]

Making a five-minute fan film for an official contest is somewhat different than what Axanar was trying to do.

Well, now there's something to blame when the backers don't get what they paid for.

(not that they needed convincing)

Looks like Peters Mama taught him to steal everything, if he was going to steal anything at all!

You're absolutely right. Thanks! :)

What was RMB's other post?

I believe this is the piece that's being referred to:

In another post on the same thread, Burnett also expressed some doubt about Axanar's production prospects, given the lawsuit:
The sad part is, Axanar does not currently exist. For now, it's just an idea. I think a good idea, but an idea which might never be realized, and that's a damn shame.

Robert Meyer Burnett is comparing Axanar to The Revenant. If this is not enough proof that the mother-frakker has lost his mind then I don't know what is.

I have no doubt Peters had hoped to take Axanar 60 million over budget. Some of it may even have been spent on Axanar.

I got a mention as well! I feel as though my life's work is now complete!

are they accurately transcribing the intellectual content of your argument and openly reflecting upon it, or are they just tweezing bits of phrases massaging their sense of victimhood over actions they alone are soley responsible for supporting?
