What are the chances he'd hire THREE non-professionals in a row?

Alec was barely involved in the production of Prelude and had naff all to do with Interlude beyond insisting that Jonathan use specific costumes.Ok the fact that the Axanar people tweeted something like that out, as a donor, really makes me mad. At least RMB has made a feature length movie called Free Enterprise, and worked with William Shatner on that. All AP has done is Prelude & Interlude, that's it, nothing else at least that I'm aware of. AP is the one that hired those directors, so it's his fault really. That's all I've got to say about that.
True, but Burnett also basically said that Trek (particularly Reunification III from Disco's last season) is anti-Semitic which, IMO, really should just remove him from most polite conversations in general, considering how objectively wrong such a statement is. Honestly, they both deserved each other. I'm fed up with the BS drama these guys (and others involved with the project) keep manufacturing in a vain effort to maintain some semblance of relevance. This foolishness has been going on for so long, they've run out of inventive new ways of sniping at each other to entertain the rest of the world. They can all just shut the hell up.
Yep. There was a mention of it in this thread back when it aired. Caused quite the kerfuffle. There are some other threads in the Disco forum that discuss it, but I haven't found the source of the original comment. Was quite a while ago now and it's been buried in amongst the usual white noise of ageing internet articles. Came in from different vectors, though, not just one, so I'm pretty sure it's an accurate assessment.
Burnett said that. Wow. I didn't recall anything in that episode that is remotely anti-Semetic.
More like Toxic fandom destroying Star Trek...
After listening to today's Inglourious Treksperts (with RMB as a guest), in which they spend an uncomfortably looooooong portion of a supposed "Six Degrees of Shatner" episode blathering on about listener reviews, this article totally tracks with the discussion about their tendency to get rather male gazey & not having many women on the show. For a group of all white, cis, straight men, it went about as awkwardly as one would expect.

Me too. In my reality all of this never happened.I love Free Enterprise!
I forget where I read it, but seem to recall that Jenkins later described his involvement with Axanar as akin to trying to help a beleaguered fan film to finish its project and deliver that result to the donors who had been waiting for so long.Sometimes I think I'd actually like to meet Peters, he seems to have some weird magnetic hold over people.
Gossett managed to escape intact, but that was mostly from being pushed away early on by Burnett. Then Burnett threw away his nice little Trek-adjacent career by hitching himself to Axanar (which is probably why he seems the most bitter). Followed by Jenkins, who became deeply involved so late it's bizarre to me, because he really should have known better.
