Oh thank you! <3

She and my FIL (also gone) were in the building for over 60 years and in that particular apartment for over 50. We brought home a ton of photos -- and we had cleaned out a bunch before we departed!
Yeah, my parents definitely labored long. However, it has motivated them to clean out their own houses so myself and my siblings don't have to worry about it.

This was posted in another thread but I'm replying to it here since this is where Quaalude is being discussed...
Axanar released a new segment and, being Axanar, wouldn't you know there has already been some controversy? One actor withdrew two hours before the premiere.
No. That's not what happened.

Statement from Paul Jenkins and META Studios: "META Studios and its employees, including Founder and Chief Creative Officer Paul Jenkins, DO NOT endorse the use of the Axanar logo and the solicitation of funds for the purpose of creating fan films associated with CBS intellectual property."
I don't see how that = "wanted out".

As a result, they had to put up a disclaimer in the comments section and post to Avalon's YT channel instead of their own.
That makes no sense. You can edit the video description. You don't need to do it in the comments if it's your own channel.

The highlight is Garth recounting the incident for the documentarian and genuinely seems to lose his composure.
I'd have to disagree. There's not a genuine note in Alec's performance.

I do think the "Interlude" creators assumed you would've seen "Prelude to Axanar" and knew or remembered who Admiral Ramirez was and why he was important. Though they were pressed for time, it would've been nice to see Ramirez get injured, and also some dialogue or a scene beforehand to establish who is he is.

No can do, the whole point of seriously but not quite fatally injuring Ramirez is to write out Tony Todd without killing him off, since he was alive after the war in Prelude. The more you see of Ramirez, the more obvious it's a stand-in.

Got an email today advertising the USS Ares flask-and-shot-glass set, as Axanar continues in it's Shadows-of-the-Empire-like aim to merchandise a movie without actually making a movie. Feel free to make all the obvious jokes.

surely its time for some Interlude coffee? I'm thinking Shields at 60% Decaf, Garth Gold, Impaled Ramirez Mocha, FASAspresso and Lone Starbax

I knew that Mr. Todd had left Axanar (though I hadn't remembered he still alive after the war in Prelude). I don't see an issue with doing an acknowledged recasting for Interlude though. It's not like the galaxy would end to have another actor playing Ramirez for a few minutes, especially if it helps the story.

Just got an email this morning - Ares Studios is Moving!
We are excited to announce that Ares Studios is moving! We will be moving to a slightly smaller, but better laid out facility that will cost us $1,000 less a month! The new space, which is being renovated now, will give us a sustainable location for us to grow and prosper!

Our new space is much more efficient even though it is smaller, with two storage rooms, a large office that can be used by the DIT and BTS crews, a make-up room, and a huge lobby we can use as a green room for crew when not busy on set.

Stay tuned for more info!
There was the earlier announcement that AP is selling off his collection of signed Battlestar Galactica photos and other "higher dollar" items. I'll give him some credit - I don't think I've seen anyone work quite so hard to keep their ship floating - particularly this ship with the multiple screen doors welded to the hull. This should push back the schedule a bit.

Interlude is going to be posted on the official Axanar channel tonight... Yay?

Someone in a Star Trek Online Discord server I'm a mod on posted that in big text with an @everyone tag.

Thankfully we have @everyone turned off in the server settings so it didn't actually ping everyone.

Edit: The guy is the head of an Axanar gaming organization lmao.

Have enough people finally given up on them that they're running out of money?
