I actually am a former wargamer and reenactor (from WWII up to Vietnam era - hence my alias, 137th Gebirg) and we always strove for historical accuracy with everything we did, although the wargaming, while starting off historically correct, nearly always tread more into "what if" scenarios than the reenactment tacticals did.If you're fundamentally opposed to nitpicking an IP then you've probably chosen the wrong one to follow. Since this latest video is neither a reenactment (since it's about the future and can therefore not be compared for accuracy against reality), nor is it a wargame, but more a discussion about bad writing/acting/editing, I'm not sure I take your meaning here.
In fact, the Axanar project will need to soon have the Battlestar Galactica Award of Shameless Stock Footage Recycling™ bestowed upon its producers.

It was a joke about hobbies where extreme attention to minor detail (i.e. nitpicking) is the norm.
AH! Yes - in the reenacting world, they definitely have those. They're called "Stitch Nazis" (irrespective of which side they're representing), who examine other people's uniforms and gear, incessantly pointing out all the flaws and inaccuracies, when the spectators generally wouldn't have the first clue about any of that, including sometimes those who actually experienced the real conflict. It's the call of the "FARB" - as in, "Far be it for me to tell you, son, that's not period correct". 
Not only that, but they also used the Kelvinverse Stardate system. It's simpler than the Prime one, so I'm thinking it's probably just a case of them being to lazy to try to work out the Prime date. Still, for a group who keeps reassuring their fans this will be Prime Trek, not Kelvinverse, it's a little confusing to see something from the Kelvinverse featured so prominently.
Sounds like people I met in the Society for Creative Anachronism, which is why I never got into it overly much.

Even better - Starfleets BRAND NEW answer to the D-6 just 10 or so years earlier is completely decommissioned. Doesn't say much for the in Universe engineering design when 20 or so years later Star Fleet is cranking out designs (and ships) that last 120 years.

Indeed! In minis wargaming, my old group used to call them "button counters" because they'd complain if 25mm/1" tall Napoleonic figures had the incorrect number of pin head sized buttons sculpted on their uniforms for the period that obviously matched their pretty hats.
It didn't bother me personally (I was more into fantasy/scifi wargaming anyways but the historical guys put so much effort into the game terrain that it was difficult to say no!) and I just brushed it off similar to trek nitpicking (of which I too am occasionally guilty of... see my 20 year comment above!).

I was pointing out that although the design for a starfleet bridge changed considerably from the CAGE to TOS, to TMP, and so did the Enterprise itself, but according to this clip the visual look of the drydocks seems to remain the same during all that time?
I have to confess, watching Peters in the clip, I realized that he's one of those people who just gives me the creeps. It's just some kind of vibe he gives off or something. It's nothing about the Axanar drama, it's just him for some reason. It reminds of this guy who ran one of those mail box places in our neighborhood, he never did or said anything bad, but he still creeped me and my mom out. He just gave off the same kind of weird vibe that I get from Peters.
But they're following Gene's Vision and that makes it okay. You see, whereas nuTrek set in the TOS era uses updated versions of the the costumes, sets, props, and starship designs from the 1960s, Real Genuine Gene Roddenberry-Approved Axanar Trek uses versions of the costumes, sets, props and starship designs from the 1960s that are updated in a way Gene Roddenberry would approve of (even though some of the designs are directly borrowed from the NuTrek that Gene doesn't like). Most importantly, Real Star Trek expresses diversity by allowing non-white, non-male people to be supporting characters (even Captains) but the Captain of the "hero" ship is always a white male. It never tries to "shove woke-ness down people's throats" by having a protagonist who's not a white man. Axanar's various fans and YouTube personalities with thoughtful names like "Doomcock" insist this is what Gene would want if he were still alive, and they're so loud and unpleasant that they must be right.
I would like to see how quickly this video, warts and all, came from initial idea to release. it would be interesting to compare that to how long it took to film and release the Vulcan scene!

I have to admit, His Majesty's acting chops have come a long way. From the smirky reverie in his stroll around the bridge to the delivery of his two lines ("Photon torpedoes, fire!" and "Fire photon torpedoes!"), he displays a maturity unseen in previous outings.
