You proceed from a false assumption.

It's not about Alec believing he can finish the film because he doesn't give a damn about finishing it one way or another. It's about his believing he can use the promise of a completed film to get desperate trekkies to support him financially while he abuses someone else's IP. The hubris will come when the idiots among us stop trying to prove him right by continually giving him their cash. The hubris will come when those who have already sunk money into this scheme either demand results NOW or demand refunds. The hubris will come when Viacom finally lays the smackdown on him for real instead of giving him leeway to finish a film he doesn't give a rat's ass about finishing.

So, no, he's not lying awake at night worried that he won't finish the film. He's also not strutting around cocksure that he'll finish it no matter what obstacle stands in his way. He doesn't care. The film, complete or not, is secondary to his real agenda.

Exactly. To misquote an episode title of TNG: "Well Always Have Patches!"
Actually Peters called me an asshole for telling that truth in one of his playing grounds, "FFF".

can someone just shut this scam down already

I think they delivered on their previous MSD/poster crowdfunding. I remember at least some folks posting their rewards on various trek groups though I didn't back any myself nor do I follow them directly so can't say for sure if all rewards were fulfilled.

I actually haven't watched it yet, I just found it on GIPHY while looking for appropriate GIFs.

My wife and I watched the first five seasons over the course of the summer. We’re anxiously awaiting the final season on Netflix. So good!

I found the gif a bit disturbing at first as her dress blends in with the bed / background. Looked like she had melted into the bed.

The smiling fondly while recalling a deadly space battle really gets me.

Boring. And how many times are they going to reuse Tobias’ vfx? If we hadn’t seen it a thousand times, maybe it would be exciting.
