May be time to accept that most of that just ain't happening, though. CBS doesn't seem to care enough to enforce it's agreement, IRS seems cool to just ignore him, idiots keep sending him money, no movie, or even 15-min segment is coming anytime soon, etc.

Seems to have found some equilibrium where he's grifting just enough to keep it going, but not enough to have it all fall in on him. Deserves it, sure, but just starting to seem like it's not coming and he's just going to continue one as a parasite on the side of the Trek franchise for a while now...

"Rattling a saber makes noise. Drawing it does not." Russian proverb (according to Tom Clancy, anyway)
Russians and their history, they might have lifted off of Marmaduke Grove 1924 Chile protests. I don't know, wasn't there.
Anyway, if you get up this way, drop by and we can plot the takeover of the galaxy or at least drop by Fuzzy's and see if they still cap a steer every time someone orders a burger. ( I think it's a myth)
Happy Russian New Years!

So..."they" are now trying to bilk people out of more money for shipping that was already taken into account when the people donated! (Shocked, but not surprised.)

We have instituted a process which we will follow for all perks from now on.
1) Each perk shipped will be charged a shipping charge. This charge will help pay for the perks and shipping.
2) Donors must go through the Ares Studios Store in order to pay for this shipping charge. This allows us to...
1. Ensure we are only shipping to correct addresses as donors must enter their current address.
2. Easily manage shipping through our ShipStation Software allowing us to track what has been shipped.
3) We will allow two weeks for all donors to go through the Ares Studios Store in order to pay for their shipping and enter their information, after that time we will move onto the next perk.
FOR THE ULTIMATE PATCH COLLECTION:
Donors will pay $10 for shipping. But, we are including the USS T'Val patch for free (a $10 value).

So basically, they're just trying to get another $76,000 out of the donors for nothing.

Second verse, same as the first. :techman:

Patch download? As in a software patch? After the way they handled their own servers, would YOU trust your computer to a software patch from those clowns???

Lots of suckers out there. I'm really astonished CBS hasn't swung the hammer down on Peters yet. The man is a con artist and making their brand look bad.

If I had bought that $100 patch collection and then got told I had to pay more money for shipping or not get what I paid $100 for, I'd instead spend $40-50 for a small claims case to at least get $50 back. No way would I send more money and I'd try to at least get some of what I paid for back.

This is peters and his auction and then after the auction asking for addiitional shipping charges to another company he was involved in because he was "helping a friend" all over agaain.

They may still be getting their ducks in a row post-merger. The attorneys from both companies need to merge personnel and case files as well, reestablishing their respective pecking orders to decide who does what. They’re likely to have bigger fish to fry at present. I suspect we won’t see any motion on that front until later in the year at the earliest.
