Me and a coworker have a running joke about Kirk's solving the mystery in the episode Jihad. "It's on a high ledge, and you have wings. Therefore you did it!" "Damn! My clever plan foiled!"

Most of the episodes of TAS I love I will staunchly defend and I'm right in doing so.

But I can't help it. I love The Jihad. I know it's kind of goofy. But it's kind of not. And I think it's just cool.

I think 'Yesteryear' is one of the best episodes, be it TAS or TOS...

Can't say I've been loving these. In fact, this is likely my least favorite production of the modern era of Star Trek.

Oh well. Can't win 'em all!

This one was written by one of the Prodigy head writers.

That was really good. It's rare these sorts of things make me belly-laugh, but they got me a couple of times.

It's a shame they had to do
    the Prodigy characters
as 2D-cutouts, but I get it. It's a quick thing for a joke.

Finally, we get a good one.

Looks like it was written by Aaron Waltke, which explains why Prodigy is called out, and it's...actually about Star Trek, rather than shitty SNL jokes.

So all of Star Trek are just Neelix's bedtime stories. Huh.

LOVED that Prodigy got a cameo, due to it's existence being a bit up in the air at the moment.

And it wasn't gross!! 2nd fave after "Holiday Party"

Leave it to the Prodigy guy to give us the best of these Short Treks. We also got a little prodigy in it. If Terry Matalas wasn't around, I would give the franchise to Aaron Waltke right now.

    Yes, yes it was.

Many Bothans died to bring you this entertainment.

I couldn't even find writing credits to 2 of the first 3 episodes.

I think the second was penned by a literal SNL writer.

Yeah, that was good. Love that they worked in someone from every series.

it was hard to understand…what was it Tendi said Boimlers program with Kirk and the Gorn was?

    Not just me then.

I haven't watched SNL in a long time. It isn't funny anymore?

This is way better than Boimler's "Kirk/Gorn Friends or Something more?" fan fiction I found in his personal file.

I've caught some of the most recent season. It's hit or miss.
