I guess that sort of thing is on my mind because earlier today I was watching a DVD of a show from the '70s and thinking that many of the situations would've been far more easily resolved or never happened at all if the characters had had cell phones and been able to alert each other instantly if they got in trouble.
Although on the other hand, I would love to see an episode where Alexis solves the case. Not just one where she accidentally says something that gives Castle an epiphany, but one where she knowingly, deliberately deduces the solution. That would be cool. I wish it had been this one. She was so upset about the singer, it would've been neat if she'd actually been the one to figure out that the song lyrics were a sort of deathbed testimony.
I don't get how it's a reach for her to show up where he dad is working. She skipped class because she was upset about a favorite singer's murder.I liked the episode. I actually liked Alexis being in there at the station even though it may be a bit of a reach. I loved the look Rick gave that singer's manager at the end, he looked like he really wanted to strangle him.
Wesley was never the big bad... oh wait... this isn't a Whedon show...This is great foreshadowing to set up the final season arc when Alexis turns out to be the big bad.![]()
"Don't want the hero to be the one who done it
Don't want the heroine left all alone to gun it
If that is corny, don't ever let 'em stop corn
I wanna RELAX and eat my popcorn!"
Lovely to see Anne Ramsey again. *sigh* Oh how I miss Mad about You.![]()
