This is the real deal guys, I blame UPN alot for this, how do they expect the show to do good when you put it in a closet (fridays) and don't adversise it! FUCK UPN!!! the can burn in HELL!! I will never watch another show on that network!! I hope they collapes very soon!!

UPN kept the series on about three and a half years longer than any other network would have, so the vitriol being spewed their direction seems pointless at best, ungrateful at worst. The show underperformed, no doubt for a complex variety of reasons. Some of those reasons might arguably be laid at the network's door, many others not. But the folks at UPN are running (or trying to run, anyway) a commercial television network, not a charity channel. And Veronica Mars, at least, is a fine show, and one I'll continue to watch as long as it remains on.

That said, my feelings about this cancellation are mixed. I can't say I'll miss Enterprise greatly for itself, but Star Trek was a big part of my life for ... far too long, frankly. I can't help but feel some sadness over its end. And certainly I do sympathize with the fans on this forum, many of whom are swell people even when our tastes may differ. As the Vulcans have it, I grieve with thee.

It wasn't my favourite series, but I was hoping the plucky under dog could keep going for the full seven years. Comiserations to ENT fans. :(

nah Angel was on Sky One last time Ent showed (3rd Season 2004) so thats the last comparison I have.

Ent Season 4 doesnt begin til 8th March 2005 8pm, where it takes over from Stargate SG-1

Yeah I know, it was a mistake...

by the way, rumour has it, Enterprise is cancelled due to Stewey, who's an anti-enterprise big wig, sucking the cock of the UPN directors to get a cancelation.

I think he should be ashamed, if this rumour that was just pmed to me, is true.

Hey, Lay off Stewey. You can't blame him for been disappointed with what Berman and Braga did. He was critical but at least he could see the problems with the show. It's not as if he was the only Trek fan who disliked the show.

Sorry to hear this, especially since Enterprise was starting to turn into a good show. I wasn't enamored by the series, but I'm sorry for those people who really loved the show.

Warning for trolling.

I know everyone's upset but let's try to be civil to each other.

Thank you Enterprise for 4 great years and making me love Trek even more.

The show and the fans are the best and i'm sure TREK will not die, LONG LIVE TREK and lets make sure that the name Enterprise is Never Forgotten.

I spent all kinds of time trying to figure out how to elocute my feelings, only to have The Realist do it for me. Well said.

Let's hope that knowing this far ahead gives the show time to produce a great finale.

UPN are a bunch of fucking idiots.

And so is anyone who gloats about this decision.

(Flaming/trolling warning anticipated and accepted without argument).

Alex

Yeah, warning for flaming. :( Let us deal with the gloaters. :(

It doesn't matter to Les Moonves that the Friday night ratings are better this season. He's looking for a different audience and it's been said he's not fond of the SF genre. So since Enterprise is the only UPN show my husband and I watch, there will no longer be a reason to watch UPN next season.

Very sad, but not altogether unexpected news. It's just too bad that this great concept didn't use Manny's vision sooner. As it was the show to me was great. It was truly must see T.V. for me.

I think ENT will one day be appreciated through DVD and syndication. People will watch it who never gave it a chance before and say, "you know this wasn't such a bad little show". We got 4 good seasons, the last one and a half some of the most compelling Trek ever. I'm grateful.

In an interview Scott Bakula said that they'd been promised by TPTB that they'd be given enough notice of cancellation so the show could be properly ended. I hope that is the reason for the early announcement and that we will get to see Manny's entire season.

Indeed. Thank you, Enterprise. :)

This is sad news indeed. :(

My condolences especially to all involved in producing this show. At least it's going out on a high note and we should be grateful we've gotten the great stuff we have.

Can't say I'm shocked. To little too late on behalf of Mr Cato. I wish all the creative and technical staff well, with the exception of the B's who can rot in a creative ditch. Although I didn't really care for Enterprise, I'm a big Firefly fan so can relate to how y'all must be feeling. It will be strange not to have any TV on the air - One of my first TV memories is Watching "Encounter at Farpoint" as a wee 7 year old.
