Burning Dreams

It's usually known as a Vulcan harp or Vulcan lyre, though it was given the name ka'athyra in garamet's earlier novel Dwellers in the Crucible (which she presumably derived from kithara, a Greek lyre-like instrument).

Early fan materials (and Roddenberry? Fontana?) referred to it as a Vulcan lyrette.

I'm pleased to report that reorder activity on Burning Dreams has been excellent. After less than a month on sale, the first printing is a total blowout, and we've had to rush back to press for a second printing.

Congratulations, Margaret!
That's excellent news. I still need to get my copy. :o

Congratulations, Margaret.

Mankind has been trying to figure that out for eons. If you ever do figure it out there's a nobel prize in it for you.

Not bad for a piece of unadulterated emotion porn!
I'm still trying to figure out what that even means. :wtf:
Well lets see. We've had good old fashioned porn. We have starship porn, continuty porn, and so on the spur of the moment I came up with emotion porn as another way of describing a hurt/comfort story.

My comic supplier just got the book (again, earlier than Amazon UK, so that I cancelled another Trek order I placed there).

I should get it next week and by then I should be ready to start reading it. Hm, if I am lucky, maybe it will even be here on Saturday :)

Congratulations Margaret! I'm still waiting for it to appear in regular bookshops in Oz...

I just finished the entire book, this morning. I rather enjoyed the book. Where there things I would've done differently? Of course, there is. Doesn't everyone think that? But I didn't write this story. MWB did, and did a good job.
