They said in an earlier interview that Giles is "the third most important character" in A&F, so I wonder if we'll see a lot of flashbacks of Giles.

^ That doesn't surprise me. Why do we have spoilers in a season nine thread? Like I said before, people shouldn't be in here who haven't already read season eight! I suspect that Giles will be on Angel's mind a lot in that book and rightly so.
I thought that it counts as a spoiler if it's directly about the content of S9.
Since they will be working the cases from Giles's journal, finishing his unfinished business so to speak (and with the statement in one of the interviews that Giles will be the 'third most important character' in the book), maybe we'll see more flashbacks of Giles, not just those related to what happened in S8. Maybe they're using some of the ideas that were considered for the Ripper movie that never happened.
^ That's a thought. I like the fact that they'll be taking cases from his journals. This seems like another theme of redemption for Angel.

That wasn't very much. The most interesting thing I got out of that article was that the season nine release date is still tentative and not locked.

I don't know about the art - Faith looks a bit generic here. She was the character that Jeanty drew the best likeness of in S8 (unlike, say, Buffy).

I like the art a lot actually. I would agree that Buffy was constantly drawn inconsistently all throughout last season, Jo Chen's covers were much better at retaining Sarah's likeness. Dawn didn't look like Michelle at times as well. This is one of my few problems with the book last year. Hopefully the art will improve. I'm looking forward to this. I like the pairing and the potential dynamic between Angel and Faith.

The other two previously released covers (Jo Chen's variant cover and Jeanty's DH 25th anniversary cover) are also excellent, but my order of preference this time is: Morris, Jeanty, Chen.
