Brian Brophy won all 538 electoral votes.
They also won't need security at his inauguration.

I know this thread is just for good natured chuckles (mostly) and I'm pretty sure I jumped in when it was waaaaaay younger in it's lifetime....but...
I just started a PIC binge-rewatch, and I have to wonder....could they have cast an actor who looks and acts any more differently than Brian Brophy than this guy?? I mean, TNG Maddox was like a thin, ultra-clean cut, ultra stiff sort of guy. PIC Maddox is scraggly, unkempt, and has none of the defining personality traits of his previous iteration. Even his hair is completely different, where Brophy's was a straight "mens regular" haircut and PIC Maddox is curly and undefined.
It's almost worse than Zephram Cochrane's transformation!

I just look at it as 34 years' worth of change in a character. For all we know the Dominion War was really rough on Maddox and his studies and drove him to drinking. Or he went through bad relationships before Agnes.

It's a James Bond recasting. He may not look right but then...did Roger Moore look like Sean Connery or George Lazenby?
It was a reimagining of the character, not a development of him. Bond you enjoy because, well, it’s not personal. It’s not about who James Bond the man actually is. It’s about who 007 the superman is. So long as he’s a super spy and very sexy, who he is, what he looks like, and how he’s played is...Doctor Who. The changes are part of the ride.
Plus it's 34 years in-universe since we last saw Maddox. Who looks the same 34 years later or even acts the same?
More like Saavik or Zyal than anything else.
Plus it's 2399. By then a lot of people aren't going to look 34 years older thirty-four years later.
To say nothing of the various Felix Leiters, who weren't even vaguely the same physical type from one iteration to the next.
Yeah. Try for five seconds to make David Hedison and John Terry fit together in your head and see if you don't get nauseous. 
You don't have to go that far up in the series...Jack Lord / Cec Linder / Rik Van Nutter / Norman Burton is quite the casting rollercoaster.
