I feel you, but I wouldn’t go that far. It’s a reaction to the movies, which is how most people know Bond. He can’t be the same 30-40-something since the 1960’s. Still, if you’re going to accept everything else in the nutty franchise, you can accept that. I mean, why make him “007” if you’ve already made him “James Bond”? Also, Fletcher totally did it. She was the Moriarty of her day. EDIT: Angela Lansbury lives. How many more has Jessica dispatched since?
I realize that, but the theory isn't even founded in what loose continuity exists between the films. The main example being the various references to Tracy over decades and multiple actors. Sliding time is a concept very familiar to superhero comic fans; and even that explanation wasn't necessary until the Dalton recasting, which might be seen as a "soft reboot". Connery and Moore were around the same age, so Bond's film adventures prior to Dalton could have easily occurred in real time (the noticeably younger Lazenby being a brief hiccup in that area).
And even Lazenby could pass for a man in his late 30s and didn't really look younger than Connery during the latter's first five Bond appearances.
^ I wouldn't quite agree with that...the age difference between him and Lois Maxwell (who was the same age as Moore) was quite noticeable.
Bryan Fuller legally changed his name in protest when he learned Brian Brophy won't reprise his role in Picard. It caused quite a bit of a mix-up because Bryan Cranston had done the same three weeks earlier as a prank.
Kamala Harris will be breaking ties in the Senate. When she can't make up her mind, she'll call Brian Brophy.
Brian Brophy created the nuclear option. Not the parliamentary procedure, the actual military strategy.
Brian Brophy rode a nuclear bomb down to ground zero Slim Pickens-style, then got up and dusted himself off.
