Brian Brophy didn’t return?

Just the fact that she talked to Midnight’s Edge makes me think that this is a complete non-issue.

I mean, she can have bad taste in interviewers and still be owed a royalty check for their use of Maddux in "Stardust City Rag." Sounds like someone in the accounting or legal departments dropped the ball there. (She's not entitled to be consulted or have creative control over the character mind; CBS owns the character. They just owe her a royalty check per WGA contract.)

Also, how the fuck are there thirty-eight pages on Brian Brophy?

I wondering why they didn't use a new character. Probably only the most die-hard fans remembered him and honestly I wouldn't have bothered if they had used a generic cybernetic scientist for this role.

Oh, Great Maker, it actually is the fifth highest result for me on google...

... what have we done :lol:

And as the first two results are two separate IMDB subpages, the third one is his Caltech profile, and the fourth one is his article on Memory Alpha...

Windows on starship ≠ Star Trek
ergo
Star Trek Ruined
remedy:
More Brian Brophy
Not surprising, More Brian Brophy is the best remedy for everything. In fact, even if there's nothing objectively broken about something, application of More Brian Brophy is still recommended. There's nothing that couldn't be improved with the addition of More Brian Brophy.

(I may continue working on this later, but, you know, life interrupt-eth...)

Oh friends, not these tones!
Rather let us sing more
cheerful and more joyful ones.
Joy! Joy!

Joy, beautiful spark of the Q
And daughter of the Continuum,
We approach, Romulan Ale-drunk,
Celestial Brophy, your Temple.
Your magic reunites
What fandom sternly divides;
All become friends and siblings
Where your gentle wing alights.

Whoever succeeds in the great attempt
To be a friend of a friend,
Whoever has won a beloved imzadi,
Let them add their jubilation! Their Brophilation!
Yes, whoever calls even one soul
Their own in the Multiverse!
And who never has, let them steal,
Weeping, away from this TrekBBS.

All creatures drink joy
At the triple-breasts of Nature;
All the good, all the evil
Follow her Brophy’s Tale.
Dilithium gave she us, and Tranya;
A friend, proven unto Sto’Vo’Kor;
Pleasure was to even the Gagh granted,
And the Metron stands before Brophy.

Gladly(!), as the Nexus flies
Through the glorious firmament,
Run, friends, your race,
Joyfully(!), as a Ferengi to latinum.

Be embraced, you trillions!
This kiss for the whole Cosmos!
Friends, beyond the star-canopy
Must a loving Brophy dwell.
Do you rejoice, you trillions?
Do you sense the Brophy, empaths?
Seek Him beyond the Canon!
Beyond the Star Trek
He doth Dwell.

And because of Brophy I'll be promoted soon.

Time to celebrate....

The Order of St Brophy had its obscure beginnings in the Wilderness Years of 2005-2009 when Star Trek went dormant. Eschewing the burgeoning forum and fan-movie culture, hermits withdrew to the desert to study Brian Brophy and his guiding presence of The Next Generation. Gradually these hermits and anchorites developed into small communities on the fringe of Trekdom, until by 2020 they had emerged as a strong monastic tradition, with abbeys extending across the PIC landscape and spreading into fandom of TNG and beyond.

Their collection of quotes, translations, and illuminated animated gif manuscripts brought new vitality to Trekker fandom issued in a new era of learning.
