Brian Brophy didn't return in PIC because he's the new EP on the next two Star Trek series. They're entitled Bryan and Brophy. Brian is about the life of Brian, the last captain of the Enterprise. Brophy is a more experimental avant-garde Star Trek drawing inspiration from the last episode of The Prisoner, Zardoz, and Fellini, by way of My Favorite Martian. They've already won two Emmys. Patrick Stewart has asked to be in both pilot episodes.
