Brian Brophy didn’t return?

When they changed Moneypenny from Lois Maxwell to Caroline Bliss I was purple with anger. Mostly because when the news was announced I didn't hear and had just found out that we weren't getting a hamburger at school lunch that day.

Boy, Felix Leiter never being played by the same actor twice in a row must have turned you into the Incredible Hulk. :)

Speaking of which, we should note that Marvel recast Bruce Banner no less. Didn't hurt the Marvel movies one bit, artistically or commercially.

Ernst Stavro Blofeld once went from Telly Savalas to Charles Gray in the course of just one film. I don't like it, but it was what it was.

Guys in charge of Star Trek: “We read your Caltech transcript and we’d love for you to reprise that one-off role you had over 30 years ago!”

Brophy: “Great! That was my favorite role! I’d love to come back! I can’t wait to restart my acting career! Fuck this university and their low-paying wages!”

GICOST: “And since you’re already used to it being a one-off role, this part is also going to be a one-off, because you’re only in it for about ten minutes of screen time before you die!”

Brophy: “Er, what? You mean it’s not a recurring role? And I’m only in it for ten minutes and then you kill me off? Um, I have term papers to grade. Get the hell out of my office and stop wasting my time and giving me delusions of grandeur, you assholes.”
Brophy: So the show isn't being changed to Star Trek: Maddox after Patrick leaves? :(

(plays some stirring music)
In a way.. we're all Brian Brophy, always having to change who we are, always going from slender fellow with neatly trimmed hair to a hooch drinking former roadie for the Oak Ridge boys, but we get up every morning or afternoon or whatever and be the best gosh darned Brian Brophy we can be, because that's what Brian Brophy would have wanted, if he were alive, and he is, also we're all Brian Brophy. We'll get replaced one day. But that doesn't mean we're not out there. You're never alone, Brian Brophies of the world, you've got countless number of forum posters ready to pick things apart in your honor. We all do.

You think the Marvel movies are bringing in the gold now? You wouldn't believe how much more they would have gotten if I, um, I mean Edward Norton had kept the Hulk role!!!

(hope I didn't give away my secret identity ;) )

Oh, and let's not even get into if they kept Terrence Howard as War Machine. Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos would be sobbing all the way down to the bottom of the Forbes list.

Dick York and Dick Sargent.

Truly the greatest disaster in the history of American television that doesn't involve UPN or a Seinfeld cast member in a starring role on their own sitcom.
