This popped up on my FB stream with the title "We're Back" ...

I have no idea if this is a new or old pic.
But since we don't see Yelchin, I'm assuming new.
They look pretty young. So I'm guessing old pic.

I haven't checked yet, but it looks to me like it's from around the time of the first movie.

Wondering which page on FB put it up?

EDIT:

Here's several photos from same session. Tweet is dated 2017, but photos IDed as from 2009:

EDIT 2:

Here's another photo from same shoot (dated May 2009):

Oh well ... I kinda-sorta thought is was too good to be true what with all the recent news about no contracts actually being signed.
Hope springs eternal. :sigh:

Chis Pine speaks.

What’s the text that went around when you and your “Star Trek” co-stars all decided to do a fourth movie?
I think everybody was like, “Did you hear about this?” [Laughs]. We’re usually the last people to find out, but I do know we’re all excited. Whenever they want to send us a script, we’re ready for it.

Have they told you anything about the story?
We haven’t seen a script. I don’t know anything about it.

So you trust them that much that you signed on without a script?
I don’t trust anybody, but I’m excited. I love the story. I love “Star Trek.” I love my people.

His statements are contradictory.

About what he knows about the story:
"We haven’t seen a script. I don’t know anything about it."

About trusting "them" without seeing a script:
"I don’t trust anybody, but I’m excited. I love the story. I love “Star Trek.” I love my people."

How can he "love the story" if he "haven't seen a script?" or doesn't "know anything about it."

He may have been walking on eggshells not to disclose something he should not disclose. lol

He means his agent or handlers has given him the pitch or the plot of the movie, but is waiting to read the blue print of what was told to him.

Maybe he means the 'Star Trek' story in general?
It's this.

He's not contradicting himself. There's simply nothing for him to talk about, at this point. All he knows is that an announcement has been made, and that neither he nor any of his castmates have yet been contacted by anyone but the entertainment press.

He likes doing Trek. He's enjoyed working with the rest of the cast and crew on past outings, and he's willing to do it again, but there are only so many ways he can say "I don't know anything."

It's straight forward, Pine hasn't read the script and he wants to do it. All in all, that's a good sign we'll be getting another Star Trek movie with him and the remaining cast.

He looks like Pike in the SNW trailer with that beard!

hopefully JJ can sign them all up! Clock is ticking. They’re screwed if the price isn’t right and they’ve booked another job

How many franchises have made it to 13 films or more?

James Bond is one - how many other?
depends if by franchise we count the character itself or if it has to be from the same studio.
if by the looser definition some that would count.

Sherlock Holmes
Poirot
Gene Autry/The Singing Cowboy (including The Phantom Empire series)
Jane Marple
(Maybe arguably) Batman.
Godzilla.

I mean, they are his friends. He describes them as family. Why wouldn't they all know what the other is being paid?
Because its none of their business, and quite frankly it doesn't work that way. Each individual has their own concerns and it will be worked out with their representative and the studio. Its not common practice to ask or inquire what a person is getting paid because it could create friction which doesn't need to be there.

I guarantee you, on the day when Paramount dropped the ball and announced a movie starring them before they'd signed on, they were texting each other. Of course they were. The thing is, is this isn't common practice. Pine said it himself, they regard themselves as a family. The numbers don't add up for me, but Pine seems to think they've worked together for 15 years. Close knit.

I think each will know a ballpark figure for the others and as professionals they will accept that some get more than others. But to my mind, professional or nay, families gossip. :D
