Borderlands. Anyone getting it?

It's getting pretty solid reviews everywhere.

As usual I'm playing the Amazon waiting game and it should be here Friday or Saturday.

Anyone else getting/gotten it?

All of Canada, it seems. From GAF and CAG, it's sold out everywhere because of the massive 30 dollar sale up here. I snagged my copy and started checking out the Siren, but I think I'll finish up Uncharted 2 before I get into Borderlands.

It looks like the graphics and gameplay of Crackdown but on an alien planet so I'll definitely be getting it. I don't get games until they're 6-12 months old, though. I'm just now playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2!

I've been looking forward to Borderlands for awhile now. It's been pre-ordered for some time now. Though, like with Uncharted 2, I'll probably have to wait a bit to get around to it.

I suppose it's a good thing so many games are being delayed. I'm having enough trouble keeping up, as is. Especially with a number of RPGs coming out that I'm interested in.

EDIT - It was on the doorstep when I got home tonight. Can't wait to play it.

Probably going to wait for the pc version. But considering how pc versions of games seem half assed these days, I find myself leaning more and more to the console versions. The last pc game I waited for was Red Faction, and while good, it required me to sign up for microsoft live and lacked simple features like gamma correction.

I'm kind of waiting to see on this one, but will probably end up getting this one. I had seriously considered trading Uncharted 2 in for it today, but I kind of got over the hump on that one, and because of my limited gaming time, it will probably keep me occupied until COD MW2 comes out.

i'm mixed on this one... i want to get it on the PC to play with some co-workers, but some other co-workers have picked it up on the console... so i'm not sure what i'm going to do...

It was delivered yesterday morning, but I've been busy playing Uncharted 2 and haven't got round to anything more than the first 10-15 minutes of it.

I'm not sure why but I had this pegged as another generic futuristic FPS. After reading the reviews and realizing that's not entirely the case (and seeing that it's an FPS with RPG elements and lots of loot collection), I suddenly really want to play this game now.

I'll probably pick it up tonight and give the SP a whirl to get used to the controls before taking it online.

Word is that the PC version looks substantially better... and if you can find three other people to buy it, you can get it pretty cheap on Steam.

After playing the game until the wee hours of the morning I can tell you this game is a ton of fun and the 4 player co-op is top notch.

Go buy it.

thinking about it, but i just beat Batman: Arkum Asylum and is now playing the Half Life 2 series on The Orange Box. Ive got a whole bunch of games i need to beat still.

I've had the game for two days. I've put just under 8 hours into it, keeping in mind that I don't normally start playing games until about 10pm and still went to work on Friday. Talk about a timesink.

I'm glad to see the difficulty does ramp up. I was a little concerned that it would be a total cakewalk after the first few hours. The dynamically changing difficulty when you're playing multiplayer is also sweet--the enemies drop way more loot so that me and my buddy never have conflicts about who gets what.

I'm having a blast with this game. The first few hours left me wondering about the difficulty and how repetitive the game would be, but I'm finding it more and more fun the further I go.

I played some co-op with my brother this evening, and that was also a blast. Some of the quests I blew through on single player were pretty tough with the both of us. The loot system works better than I expected from some of the complaints. There was enough ammo and enough gun drops that it was never really a concern.

My brother wasn't sure if the game would be something that appealed to him, but after a couple of hours of co-op he didn't want me to take the game home.

I was going to get it when it came out, but I might wait and see if I get employee discount...I have an interview with 2k Games next week. :)

I'm playing a Siren that someone helped me grind to 50 by doing a second playthrough run on one of the item farms. At least I can blast through the rest of the game now.

Oh yeah, I forgot - if anyone needs that viral multiplayer achievement, just send me a message or post here. I'm firehawk1234 on XBL.
