Chakotay is my second favorite character but despite his importance in the recent books, I see no reason to re-evaluate my opinion about them.
The fact is that
I'm currently re-reading "The Escape" and yesterday I watched "Phage" and "The Cloud" and it strikes me how much I like and miss the characters. That's why I want continuing adventures with ALL the main characters from the series in the books. They are simply too good to be wasted and destroyed.

The fact is that
Janeway is still killed off, Kes, Neelix and Tuvok are still missing and we still have that C/7 connection. Not to mention that I, who have often suggested a return to the Delta Quadrant now have to see that happen-with the wrong crew. Talk about some curse or devilish plot!
