Have to say I wasn't a huge fan of River Song, that said it would have been annoying if this major relationship in the Doctor's life pretty much all happened off screen so I don't have a huge problem with her showing up again, aside from the fact that she shows up so early in Smith's tenure. Be interesting to see what sort of chemistry they have, especially since the reason 10 was her bitch, as someone put it, was because she knew everything about their relationship and he knew nothing-I'd imagine the footing will be more equal this time...hell if anything the scales have tipped towards the Doctor, he knows what eventually happens to her

Sweet! I love River Song and I'm very glad that she's returning.

I don't know why, but I think I'm going to like Amy...

Amy gives me a very Zoe/Vicky vibe... Even in this picture I could imagine her travelling with the second Doctor.

from what I can tell all day people have been picturing 11 as the 2nd Doctor, and now we are bending photos of the companion to suit the 2nd Doctor.

I've been thinking the same thing which is only good news for me. The Second Doctor is my second favorite Doctor and I love both Zoe and Vicki.

Is this the tail end of Tens life into Elevens? River Song is there for the regeneration? Is this the end of Elevens life. By that i mean, are we seeing the end of Eleven before we see the start of his life?

Still, love the new 'old' Tardis, flash. Its like they have gone into a museuam and pulled Hartnells tardis out of some kind of stasis. And with St. Johns ambulance badge too, swanky.

However, is it directly after Tens demise or is this a future incedent where the exterior is changed for a purpose, for some reason.

Who knows, its Moffat here so anythings possible, to be truthful.

From the looks of the stills that have come out, that's not surprising. With what appears to be a ship crashing, best get those shots to the effects department as soon as possible.

That shirt is horrible; it's much too large, making her look like a little boy who has yet to grow into his clothes. Show some femininity, girl! The grey panties are ugly as well; they make it look as if her legs have died off. Leave them off in the next episode, please.

These trainers belonged to David Tennant long before he became the Doctor, it was during a costume fitting that he suggested to Louise Page the costume designer about wearing them with the costume but she thought it was a bad idea as his feet would get cold during winter filming, but after a little persistence David got his way and they became a trade mark of his "geek chic" costume.


They are made by converse, an interesting point is that the converse logo has been removed and sprayed over with brown latex paint this is because some of the publicity photos are close ups and copy wright laws would not permit the logo being seen, they are labeled inside "the doctor".

I don't know why there would be a copyright issue with Converse - from their point of view it would be free advertising. In fact, I always assumed the logo was removed for exactly that reason - the old "no advertising on the BBC" rule.

Didnt River say to the 10th Doctor that he looked so young? But isn't No. 11 even younger looking? Oh well, I suppose the last time she saw him pre-The Library - in her timeline - he may have looked a lot older than Smith currently does. Bloody bendy wendy timey wimey makes me head hurt.

if I recall she was looking in his eyes when he sad that, of course that may work with humans, but last I checked theDoctor gets a new set of eyes when he regenerates
