Blender Windows Problem

Greetings! It's been a while since I posted here.

I'm having some problem making windows. I am building an Ambassador class, and I am trying to build every window individually, with it protruding slightly from the surface. This is not working out so well with all of the curved surfaces.

I would like to find a way to build them quickly, and be able to inset them, to do it properly. :)

Anyone have a tutorial?

Thanks,

I can't help you with the engineering hull, but you can capitalize on the radial symmetry of the primary hull at least to position the windows in groups, if not to do the Boolean work in groups.

If you look at the upper primary hull of the Ambassador, it's clear that there exist several "rings" of windows. By modeling one window and making a copy per "ring," you can put a dummy object at the vertical axis, bind one or more of the windows to the dummy object, and then rotate the dummy object, creating copies which remain positioned in the proper "ring" of windows.

Thanks for the reply. I did a pretty good job with the saucer windows, and I think I figured out a good way to fix the engineering hull. I will post some pics shortly. :)
