Lighting on the Enterprise - TNG

Hello all.

I am building a model of the Enterprise TNG. I am amazed how many differing images and videos (and plans) exist of the lighting on the hull of the Enterprise.
I am trying to nail down the basics of the Nav lighting, strobes etc and they are all different.

Anyone have a definitive guide or link to where I can actually get correct data?

I watched some Youtube clips of TNG and even they vary slightly (some are due to camera reversal issues).

Thanks!

The lighting effects are tricky to nail down. I'm building a 1/350 Refit. At various points, the light under the shuttle bay is solid or blinking, or strobing! Not only that, but even the saucer section light frequency alters from shot to shot depending on if they slightly sped up or slowed down the footage.

Now, with TNG, you have multiple models, flipped shots and hell, even matte paintings (that shot facing forward under the saucer is a painting!)

If I were building an Enterprise-D, I'd base it on the 6-footer. The only blinking lights I see are ones behind the bridge and one just in front of the tractor emitter.

The rest of the navigation lights would then all be "on," with white leds for the front and back, red for the left, and green for the right.
