Spoilers Black Lightning - Season 1

Ok..not that anyone was waiting for it...(and not fully thought out anyway)

But my negatives on the show

These aren't huge issues...just minor gripes that "bother" me, but still is one of my favorite shows

Really just 2. The big one is how time seems kind of wacky events have happened. Like events happened but seemed like out of nowhere or disjointed?

SO some examples: when did the public start calling Thunder, Thunder?

What was the time difference between TObias Whale mourning for his sister and his return?

Or between Khalil getting shot and HIS return?

And how little time Jefferson and his family seems to spend at school....

My other issue is La La. ANd the big thing for that is his name...i suppose realistic, but every time I hear it, i think "If La La were to take over Freeland, would it become La La Land?" But maybe they are just setting up the next DC TV musical??

And when he was "normal", he felt like a realisitic character, and even in the pilot , showed the limitations of Jefferson's work as an educator and a rival. But he just felt lifeless after his resurrection..maybe that was the point, but he lost interest to me. I am no where

Oh, and I guess the "Make America Great" guy... would have been nice to have him NOT be so obvious. I mean, he can still be racist, but i think it is subtle racism that is the bigger danger, and should be explored more, as it is more prevalent.

How about you guys? Anything you would like to change?

The show has probably compressed more than they needed to, unlike a lot of too padded shows I think they had the room to breathe more with their plot elements.

OK, I laughed...somehow I hadn't thought of LaLaLand.

I was still interested but as I've stated before it's like they were setting up these mystic voodoo kind of vibes but then seemed to not actually care about those. In the end, LaLa just sort of ended up thrown out with the trash like Lady Eve in favor of Tobias. Personally I felt there was more meat there to explore.

Again they seemed to just throw in everything but the kitchen sink by the end. I wonder if they were gunshy about their chances for a second season pickup and felt they just had to put it all on the table lest they leave some dangling plot threads.
