I also don't think any of these Hamster's has a chance if they are bringing in people like Dick and Janelle. I continue to hate the idea of bringing old people back. You won't be able to trot these people out forever. If you want to do an All-Star season again, that's fine, but they should be cultivating more fan favorites!
Well, we're in for a long summer. Thoughts? Comments?
I was hoping someone would start this thread. My obsession with Big Brother continues, though this year I'm not sure if I'll buy the live feeds because I will be working so much, starting school, and will get After Dark, so I think three hours a night is about all I will be able to handle. I'm still not sure about that though.
Anyway, I've been watching the interviews of the new houseguests (on the We Love Big Brother, SuperPass, and Big Brother Network sites) and I'm excited about the new cast. The men in particular seem interesting this year. The ladies don't interest me as much, they seem to have similar personalities. And yes, Russell Hantz (from Survivor) will have a brother on this show, Willie. From watching his interviews, he seems like he is a lot like his brother in some ways, but also more friendly and maybe not so quick to anger or piss people off, which will serve him well.
When the initial cast was announced on Wednesday, it included a guy named Mike who was a sailing instructor. He was also in one of the promo commercials. Within just a few hours he mysteriously disappeared and was replaced by Joe, a chef. I find it interesting, and it makes me wonder how many alternates they have in sequester right now, and if those alternates do indeed know they are alternates. Hmmm.
But the really interesting rumors are about who will be returning this year. The Hamster Watch site echoes many of the rumors I've heard about who will be back - I've put it in spoiler code in case anyone wants to be surprised on premiere night...though of course, anything could change last minute. I'll also mention who it definitely WON'T be.
Most people seem fairly certain that it will be Dan, Mike Boogie, Janelle, and one other person...it was originally thought to be Danielle Reyes or Rachel, but since Danielle R. wasn't included on the CBS poll, we know it's not her. Also, Rachel has since been on a SuperPass show talking about the new houseguests and her predictions for the season, so it isn't her (or she would be in sequester). Right now people think the fourth person is Britney. Please let it be so!! Also, it's definitely not Dick or Natalie because they have been taken out of the poll, and Dick does his own show online about the rumors that aired just a day ago.
I did love Kaysar. Oh, I also forgot to mention that producer Alison Grodner stated in a TV Guide interview that there would be no houseguests returning from last season, so based on that we can supposedly remove Rachel, Daniele, and Jeff from the running.
There's been a pretty big feed leak overnight. Beware, they completely spoil who the four returning houseguests are and what the Have-Not room looks like (and possibly who the Have-Nots are). Here's a link:
Watching my recording right now. Interesting set of hamsters this year and... UGH! Why is it when they get the token gay guy they always have to get the most effeminate, stereotypical, one possible? I hate this guy already and all I've seen of him is his intro.
Wil really isn't that bad on the feeds, it's really the editing that becomes stereotypical each year, not necessarily the people themselves. Actually, I found Wil enjoyable on the feeds because he is funny and mostly because he's a big game talker. Last night we saw pretty much everyone get in on the scheming action, except for Ian and injured Ashley (it seems like she hurt her back pretty bad in a competition and the Have-Not bed has made it worse). I can't think of another season in recent memory where everyone was so involved in strategy so often. I mean, compare last night's After Dark to watching a game of pool among the Brigade in season 12, or a round of Big Booty last season. This cast is already proving to be miles better than those.
I have high hopes for this season based on the last couple of days. These folks seem like they are in it to win it! Should be a treat to watch.

Yeah, and let's add a tattooed lesbian musician who will probably eat him.
(Oh, and for a moment I thought "Hot tranny mess" when i saw him). Of course, we'll never see the day when there are two hot single gay "bro's" in the house who wind up in an onscreen "bromance" that, you know, isn't just a bromance.
I kind of like the idea of coaches. I'm hoping what we get is 4 groups who the coaches manipulate into alliances to off each other. Bonus if there's an alliance that forms that goes beyond those and double bonus if it's hidden from the coaches.
From what I've read of the feed updates and seen on After Dark, the game has been pretty intense for only being a week in. There is game talk almost non-stop, and the Britney/Janelle team alliance flips back and forth between wanting to get rid of Kara and Frank every five minutes.
Frank and Willie have made a deal to watch out for each other, but Joe told an interesting lie that might change that. He told his alliance members (Britney and Janelle's teams) that Frank and Jenn came up to him proposing a partnership to go after Willie and Shane as soon as possible. Frank really does want to go back on his deal with Willie and go after him and Shane, but Joe doesn't know this and just made it up when telling his alliance. So now their alliance is grateful to Joe and keep saying things like "I'm so thankful he told us, he could have worked with the other side and screwed us all over, but he is very loyal!" Who knew the replacement houseguest would be so interesting.
Just wanted to add that if you haven't watched last night's After Dark yet, you are in for a real treat!
All I have to say is, my new favorite line of the summer: "Sooo...I'm gonna make a DiGiorno, anyone want a piece?" I really hope it all gets shown on tonight's or tomorrow's show.
So Kara is our first...second evictee. My first reaction is "Yes, I will miss a cute blonde Playboy playmate." But with Frank still in the game, the entertainment level is bound to be high.
I think we can trim up the show by eliminating Julie's commentary of how people will vote. Do we really need it? Does it add to the suspense? No to both, it's really freakin' annoying.
Well, someone was expelled from the game tonight...pretty easy to guess who. There was a physical altercation that we didn't see on the feeds, but the houseguests have been talking about it ever since. Also today was the coach's competition, and then later nominations. Crazy, insane day, a terrible one for Britney to be sure.
Yeah, I saw the spoiler on who got the boot ... that was some crazy stuff right there. I wonder how much they're going to show of the events leading up to it?
I think Willie's expulsion was a little overblown. They only showed one headbutt (if there was more) and I think Joe needed it anyways. The guy needs to learn to just shut up ("I hope you find your peace!", I hope you find your way out the door next week) But back to Willie. He knew the whole house would come down on him, he could've also have won the POV. As Boogie put it, he threw away a chance for $500,000.
I think it's a foregone conclusion that Shane and Jojo are going up, which to me is a little ridiculous if it's based all on Willie or the team dynamic. If Brother Hantz had one thing right, it is still an individual game. Jojo couldn't win a challenge with a ten minute head start. Shane can be justified as a physical threat, but if these "teams" are going to be the basis for nominations and voting because the coaches need another 15 minutes of fame, this will be a dull summer.
They made it look like Willie was trying to get kicked out to not give the others the satisfaction of voting him out. If that's true then he's an even bigger asshole than he appeared to be because he's fucking over everybody on Britney's "team" who was even remotely on his side.
And btw, I was thinking, that once a "team leader" loses all his/her players, it's not over, but that leader then gets to stay in the house as a real player alone. Sounds like a logical "twist" to me.
Spoilers were saying there were four headbutts over a period of a couple minutes, a much bigger fight than was shown, and part of it involved Willie using the C word (sadly used to refer to a portion of the female anatomy) repeatedly towards Joe and Joe telling him he is just like the rest of his redneck family.
It almost seems like every summer they cast somebody who is a hothead and will be removed from the game so that they can have the drama of the removal.
