All I'm hearing is "I'm certain Alfred will be portrayed like XYZ and there's no way that can work." That's like learning about that exoplanet and insisting right off the bat that it can't possibly be inhabited. That's not discussing the possibilities. It's just preempting them. Discussion in this case doesn't just mean whining about how this version of Alfred can't work. It means exploring the question of how it might work, of the various possibilities that this image could suggest.
