Topic: love that Jean-luc and Beverly are married and are expecting a child in "Losing the peace."
I don't see what's so objectionable about the suggestion that Riker spent the whole honeymoon playing his trombone. Although Deanna might've had an objection.
What?

It doesn't hurt to remind you guys every now and again that there are actually women onboard
Just for the sake of accuracy, it was in Greater Than the Sum that the marriage and pregnancy were initially established, and this continued to be the case through the Destiny trilogy and into LtP.Topic: love that Jean-luc and Beverly are married and are expecting a child in "Losing the peace."
Response: Agreed.

You do realize that appreciating a dirty joke is in no way the exclusive province of men, right?
That was my honeymoon.and to think, I, with my bad eyesight, read the comment at "24/7 boring."
Juvenile vulgarity for the sake of it is something else.

Dirty jokes are fine - BTW, where was the joke exactly?

If me regarding a particular comment as being worthy of response makes me a "backseat moderator" then I've lived with worse. I'm not trying to censure anyone, much less report them to a moderator, but nor do I think that particular comments are somehow immune from genuine response just because the guys seem to be onboard and are happy with the tone.
I've responded from a different perspective and viewpoint and believe that both are entirely valid given the context provided.
Happy to leave it here.
I still don't understand what's objectionable about the suggestion that a honeymoon would consist of nonstop sex. I mean, isn't that the whole idea (allowing for hyperbole)? And since when was there anything bad about a husband and wife having sex? (No obvious punch lines, please.) Okay, the specific verb chosen was a vulgar bit of vernacular, but as slang terms for the sex act go, it's rather mild.
