Picard proposed to Beverly sometime in August 2380. As of their first scene in Greater Than the Sum, which occurs on September 22, they've recently returned from their honeymoon. So that would place the wedding in late August or early September 2380. That would be two or so months after Sword of Damocles, so Titan would be quite far away at that point.

There's a difference between being nude and being a stripper. Strippers aren't just nude -- they're clothed provocatively and then become nude, while dancing in an erotic fashion in order to deliberately induce a state of sexual arousal in the customer.

Now, Deanna may well not have a problem with that. Certainly she wasn't jealous when she sensed that Will and Christine almost kissed in Destiny I; maybe she thinks that having a temporary subject of lust around, for either sex, is a healthy thing in a marriage. I don't know.

But I don't think that the comparison of a stripper to the relatively asexual nudity of a Betazoid wedding is an accurate comparison. Intent matters.

They're Betazoids! Pure and simple: They have no taboos with the naked body. They're minds are open to one another due to their telepathy which in turn makes a nudity taboo kind of ridiculous. They dig nudity and I love them for it .

Well, according to "Imzadi" it symbolizes that everyone is being entirely open and honest with one another, sharing in the joy of the occasion. No barriers, no hiding. Although given that Betazoids don't take much notice of physical appearances anyway (supposedly- Lwaxana seems to obsess over it, but then she was married to a human) I suspect it can't be too significant a symbol. It's probably mostly just "tradition" that's been excessively ritualized like so much of Betazoid society, or at least the society of the old noble houses. I assume that just as the individual telepath needs to be grounded in their own mind before they can integrate the influence of other minds, so Betazoids as a culture feel the need to strongly affirm "their way" as a means of relating successfully to alien influence. So they tend to engage in tradition for tradition's sake a lot. If Lwaxana isn't an exception and clothing does or did indicate status like in humans (Lwaxana once mentioned a discarded custom of elaborate wigs), perhaps all being naked also demonstrates all are equal for the purposes of the ceremony, and bestowing appreciation on the couple. Another idea I had is that it's symbolic of the sexual act- Betazoids can't hide feelings of attraction so there is nothing in their culture forbidding flirtatious thoughts with one who is not your mate, but everything we've seen suggests Betazoids are sexually loyal to a single partner. You can think but you can't act. Maybe everyone's naked as a symbol of that act, unique between official couples?

TNG is up to May 2381 as of the epilogue of Losing the Peace. Which makes Beverly 56 (she was born in October) and Picard nearly 76 (he was born in July). Although given improved medical science and longevity in the future, that'd be the equivalent of people 10 or 15 years younger today.
