All of the above really, they just didn't work for me. Along with the question of why they are now bald, decorate themselves with excessive jewellery, and have bumpy foreheads during that timeframe--things in the Alternate Timeline changed upon Nero's arrival, so how are they affected so drastically (unless due to non-interference from someone on the Kelvin the Klingons decided to go a new route with fashion).Based on what? Design? Application? How it looks on screen? It's not all that different than what we've seen in previous Klingon makeups.
Sarjenka from TNG's "Pen Pals" is always at the top of my list for the worst.
I see the mo, but what hair Bry? Guy could nearly give Prof. X a run for the money on the cue-ball index. That Klingon ridge actually accentuates the nakedness of his dome, like a mid-oceanic mountain range or stitches on a repackaged autopsy. He at least had a mo and also a little hair.
What was it about Spock that you didn't like? The ears?I was getting into sci-fi as early as 1959. So to my 15 year old eyes in 1966, Spock was the worst looking alien I'd ever seen.

He had a small ponytail attached to the back of his head that is not visible in this image.
Not only that- the screw heads had tiny Klingon symbols on them and one of them is not tight (Chang had a screw loose...)I see the mo, but what hair Bry?
