I go from the Cage to 3rd season. I like both designs and materials. At which point in the show do you feel the Starfleet uniforms looked their best? For me, it’s definitely the third season. I also liked their look early in the second season, which to me, is when the show had its best overall look in terms of production.
I like the concept of the pre TOS uniforms, but in execution I’ve long felt they looked hastily put together and the colours were meh.
The girdle is very obvious in Requiem, but he must have lost weight by Turnabout as he takes his top off.I'll go with the first 5 or 6 episodes of Season 2, especially the early "Doomsday" wraparound for Bill. He was slim and the velour draped well on them all.
I never liked the 3rd season polyester primarily because it reminds me of the declining quality that year. Yes, I'm a bigot. That, and you could get a glimpse of Shat's girdle from time to time.
I love the colors. I think they work better as a duty uniform. The tailor could have been better, obviously, but the cut and style is very much my preference, including same colored collar to the shirt, rather than the black color of TOS.I like the concept of the pre TOS uniforms, but in execution I’ve long felt they looked hastily put together and the colours were meh.

I think I've seen your work before, and definitely appreciate it. The department stripe is a good addition down the pants. I'm trying to come up with a decent costume idea for a convention next year, and really trying to do a mix up of Beyond, SNW, and a lot of fan designs over just a straight recreation. This is good inspiration, and your wrap on this one is surprisingly like the SNW one.I tried to do a bit of "merged style" (combining elements of all the main TOS uniforms) a while back. I'd probably use two different blues rather than blue and purple if I redid them now.

The dress uniforms for the above would add the jacket from the "Monster Maroons" and I also add Cadets and Trainees in grey as per TOS and later shows rather than red (which is Engineering here).

I guessing, since @fireproof78's example has the left most uniform in Operations with TOS version of captain's stripes, the answer to your question is Operations.I like those. I guess my only question would be... what colour do commanding officers wear as there's no "Command" colour?
I would assume that the XO, their staff and most bridge officers (apart from Science Officers and some Navigators) would typically wear Operations.
I'll post the other one. I think it's gold but can't remember.I like those. I guess my only question would be... what colour do commanding officers wear as there's no "Command" colour?

This looks an awful lot like something I worked up many years ago. I’ll have to check my old files.
It might very well be. I stumbled upon it on a Star Trek Uniform Reddit. This looks an awful lot like something I worked up many years ago. I’ll have to check my old files.
