Best Ass Chewing

One of my favorite 'exchanges' (I call it that because I can't figure out who is chewing out who) is the beginning of DS9 where Picard is giving Sisko his posting to DS9 and Sisko reminds Picard who he lost at Wolf 359.

Another one is that episode where the bridge has been cut off from everyone and Troi gives orders to Ro

"The Ship" - Sisko lets Dax knows what everyone else is thinking; :D

DAX: Tough guys... a little pressure and they buckle.

SISKO: Dax! Maybe you haven't noticed, but no one's laughing.

6) Most of my favourite Jadzia moments involve her being playful or funny, but one harsh instance I really enjoyed was her calling Bashir out on his overconfidence in "The Quickening" -

Julian: "I was so arrogant, I thought I could find [the cure] in a week!"
Jadzia: "Maybe it was arrogant to think that. But it's even more arrogant to think there isn't a cure just because you couldn't find it."

8) It's cruel and it makes me feel bad for her because I like Ezri, but I can't deny Garak's insults in "Afterimage" are pretty damn riveting to watch. "Now get out of here, before I say something unkind!" WTF? He had already verbally ripped her heart out at the point, and he hasn't said anything "unkind" yet? :rommie:

These are some great ones. Jadzia's comment made her seem very wise, but also put Julian a step down a bit .

And Garak- that was just a vicious Ass chewing- I mean you could actually feel that- Ezri left bawling in tears...

Since they're somewhat under-represented I'll throw out Archer in "Cogenitor": ". . . don't tell me you know what I would've done when I don't even know what Iwould've done."

Janeway in "Prime Factors", "Thirty Days" and "Prey", although she seems to like her crew too much for a really good ass chewing. The one exception is Equinox to Chakotay and later Tuvok: "I've already confined my first Officer to quarters. Would you like to join him?"

Kirk really didn't have that many, but he didn't pull any punches with Marla McGivers in Space Seed. That led to the classic exchange where McCoy told Kirk "you would have made a fair psychologist". Kirk's response "Just fair?" with a hint of smirk was dead on.

As for Jellico, the best ass-chewing was what HE did to the rest of the crew for most of those episodes. God knows they needed it.

^ My respect for Troi went up about 1000000 times after she put on the regular Starfleet uniform.

^ You would think that Hobson would have clued into the fact that any kind of emotional outburst that Data ever showed would be fake, right?
