^ I just meant, what did the bullies do to him in the episode that was "really bad"?
I didn't think we'd ever see Kai again. Also, ever since last season's 2019 episode, I wondered what became of Erica in the future and didn't think they'd ever address it.
By the way, what horrible thing happened to Leo? I missed that bit. I think I know, but I want to be sure.
That was exactly my take on it, especially considering Erica's violent reaction, and desire for further violence. You wouldn't call the police because they had Leo fetching beers for them.By the way, what horrible thing happened to Leo? I missed that bit. I think I know, but I want to be sure.
I'm not sure either, but it seems that Leo was sodomized with that broomstick. Its all implied, with the broomstick being called Lucy, the way Leo winced in pain when he sat down, and the frat boy pretending to "ride" Lucy.
I guess I missed that connection. It does make sense now, though I still think the editing could of been better to make a better connection out of it. Still don't like the episode too much. Makes me wonder what kind of other stuff goes on in fraternities that are gotten away with.
I think that they purposefully did not make it obvious both so that the viewer would have to think, which is more effective in itself, and to avoid censor issues. This is the CBC after all. I'd suspect the producers opted to keep it PG but to make it thought provoking as possible.I guess I missed that connection. This is a very adult show and I do not get why its alright to show Erica and Cassidy's lesbian scene while it is not okay to clarify what happened to Leo. And I do not mean scenes showing Leo being sodomized. However, even a short scene where the frat leader says "Lets help Leo and Lucy get acquainted" would have clarified what happened a lot more than the innuendos we were given.
I'm not being facetious here, lesbian sex is hot, even to nervous right-wing fundamentalists. Male anal rape in a frat house is terrifiying to nervous right-wing fundamentalists. These are two extremely different topics.

Yeah, I suppose there is that, and it must have been difficult to get the message across in a way that could be shown on TV, and while they were creative about it, I just think they could have done a bit more to link what happened with Leo with that. As it is, you see Lucy the broom being waved around, with the next scene being Leo on his bed. I'm not saying we should have been hit over the head with overt imagery, but it could have used a scene to bridge the gap of understanding, like perhaps a flashback scene while Erica is talking to him.
In my opinion, this is one of the worst episodes.I found it overly violent and it didn't sit well with me. Too uncharacteristic of Being Erica.

I think they're maybe saving the secret of her disappearance for later, but yeah, maybe not at all either. Dr Tom seemed to be rather set to not reveal it.
Oh, and notice the car guy is back again? I called it as a recurring role, and he seemed to have even more time this time out. I'm guessing that we'll see even more of him as the season progresses and maybe he'll be a key part of season 4. But it does make you wonder who the guy is and why he's so important. I mean, Dr Tom and the other therapists seem to be like co-workers, but this guy seems to be a boss, or maybe he's just a friend. He does seem to get more important as time goes on.
