But by that logic nobody should do anything because there is people out their who hate them and will start causing violence if someone they don't like doesn't get elected. I mean people other than straight white males should be able to run for elections and win elections. No matter what bigots might think or do. Ideally the person most qualified should always win no matter what their race or gender is. Jason
Not that it's any of your concern but I have exactly one person on ignore...oh no wait now it's two, because I know a disingenuous shit-stirrer when I see one. Toodles!
I just watched the trailer. CW is really doubling down on provoking the male minority who are always being attacked and forced into submission these days. Not one but two comments about men and women---SCARY.
Maybe CW saw all of the MRA outrage surrounding Captain Marvel while looking at her box office and said, "Hey, this shit is good publicity. Let's grab us some of that."
It’s really sad that having an out lesbian character being visible and proud of who she is can been seen as provoking someone. It think just shows how backwards, wrong and hateful they are. If you can’t handle seeing a lesbian being treated as a hero and positive character it’s because you hate them and want to keep them hidden so you can pretend they don’t exist. It’s a weak and fragile worldview that needs to die.
I wonder where Batman is? It’s not like him to just vanish. Also, I take it there’s no Robin or Batgirl around?
The irony is that extremely negative reaction from certain quarters shows precisely why stuff like this is absolutely necessary...
Exactly, when people complain about some agenda (that agenda being the certain people exist and deserve to be treated like everyone else) being shoved down their throats, it’s because it’s needs to be. Especially since in America, where the show takes place and the primary audience lives doesn’t currently consider LGBTQ people worthy of equal rights and they are not protected by federal law. Changes are finally being attempted, but the ruling political party opposes it despite widespread support from voters including their own. They’d rather push protecting discrimination under the guise of “religious freedom”.
Of course the argument is that it is not the lesbian character that is bad, it is the writers and producers who have to "weaken" men and disenfranchise them to make the woman powerful--thus missing the message entirely.
That’s delusional thinking and should be pointed out as such constantly. It’s not worthy of discussion or debate.
