I'm curious about this, there's no sound in space right? So presumably their sonar wouldn't work, so would they just basically fly around bashing into things having no idea where they're going?
There's no sound, but there also isn't a whole lot of stuff either for them to run into. Not to mention the breathing/not freezing to death issue, and then of course you have to consider that without air, their wings wouldn't really be able to work either.
Bats + Space = Bad plan.

This is what I was thinking.
So...
Bats in a vacuum with no gravity - they'd be blind and would be able to use their wings so they'd probably be pretty freaked out right?
Bats in a vacuum with gravity - they'd be blind but could still fly. So would they just fly around not really knowing where they're going?
And bats in a non-vacuum with non-gravity could see where they're going but their wings would be of no use, so they could tell where they were but couldn't really do much about it?
I think in a vacuum they'd die...

Yeah, I'm trying to understand why the OP thinks flight requires gravity but not air.
It's a misconception that bats are blind. They still have eyes, and they can still see, so they won't end up bumping into things. They may be a bit confused as to why one of their senses isn't working right, but they won't be much worse off.I'm curious about this, there's no sound in space right?
