/\ Indeed.

SB for example. She even has the card to prove it. ;)
:p

Compare our registration dates and post counts, people. Who's the bigger spammer here??? :p

Yeah...that post count and reg date of yours really sorta tell the story, don't they?

Still, I have been here four and a half years and have about 21,000 posts. That's probably less than 5,000 a year.

Not bad for someone who's been a mod (and sometimes admin) for most of that time.

Agreed mostly. I think what I loved about Farscape was the characters and the kind of family they built on Moya. The episode I last saw was a great example of that. Yeah, so Ayren killed the first pilot, but she was still kind of given support after all the anger died down. I loved that final scene when they were hooking Pilot back up to Moya. The closeness everyone felt was great.

Yeah, I saw that one too this past weekend. That episode is really a good one, IMO. Sorta shows that everyone has their flaws...and everyone can forgive others flaws partly because they have their own.

Vash, I too liked Into the Lions Den. If you want to see how honorable deaths go, look no further than Crais and Talyn and "Talyn, Starburst." It was tragic, but it was a cool FX shot.

That whole episode was just coolness. I love that whole scene with Scorpy and the water pouring down the stairs. What great effects....and a really cool dramatic moment as well.

That episode of 'scape just *rocked*, in about a million different ways.

So much to watch still, need to finish rewatching Farscape (stuck in the middle of Season 2, so still some goodness left).
I just listened to the theme of Band of Brothers .. must finish rewatching that as well. Best mini-series ever.

The Sci-Fi Channel is having three marathons coming up, that I'm looking forward to, in case anyone else is interested...

Planet of the Apes (TV) - Monday, 12/12
Battlestar Galactica (70's) - Thursday, 12/15
Battlestar Galactica (00's) - Tuesday, 12/20

The episodes for new BSG cover the first half of Season 2, which I'm glad about because I didn't like them stopping reruns after four episodes.

I bought the first season DVD set so I could watch it all to get caught up the second season reruns, and then use the reruns to get caught up to where I started with "Final Cut".

I'll have to set my DVD recorder, since I'll probably be at work.

I now work for a temp agency, that's what I consider my first job, and substitute teaching is my second job.

The temp agency is good as a resume builder. First I was an auditor, then I became a secretary. The secretarial job ends next Tuesday, and they left a message on the answering machine to call them back, probably for another job to start after Thanksgiving since it's what I requested.

I went to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire today, and it is probably the best movie of the four. It just seems like the movies get progressively better, other than Chamber of Secrets, which was a bit of a downer after Sorcorer's Stone. I don't read the books, so I've pretty much been up on the potter stories through the movies. I think I need to see these again because I only watch them in theaters. Hopefully this isn't the last time I see GOF because it was a really good movie.

I'll try not to spoil anything, since I don't like using the spoiler code. This movie was done in the same vain as POA, and even brought back some of what Columbus did in the first two movies in terms of the clothing. These characters (Espcially the hot Hermonie) are so great together. One thing I will spoil is that Emma Watson looks hotter in the 19th century dress  . She is hot anytime, but wow that dress was amazing. There was much more humor in this movie and the pacing made this movie feel a lot shorter than the 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Anyway, this is a more darker than the other films, and more in the way of thriller rather than mystery. The twists and revelations were great, and it makes me think I need to go back and see the first three.

Overall, I'd give it an B+. It seemed like the director pulled a Peter Jackson and didn't want to end it, but that is a minor complaint.

Has any one seen A History of Violence? My husband wants to go see it (it's at our local $1.00 theater). Other than the trailer I'm not to sure what's it about.

Such a shame we don't have a channel like Sci-Fi or Space here in the Netherlands. There's no way I can catch up with all scifi series ... and BBC stopped airing the old BSG. Ah well, I'm still young ... maybe a rerun somewhere sometime ;)

I really want to see the new Harry Potter film, glad to hear people think its good, even though I usually walk out the films slightly disappointed. Then again I am a huge fan of the books and it seems wrong to leave things out, but then again I don't want to be sitting in the cinema for 7 hours either!

I really want to see how they've done the Triwizard Tournament, and most other things :D I love the fact that the films are getting darker along with the books, just far too long a wait for the next book! :p

Yes - practically an infant. :p

I could do with a sci-fi channel, too. I feel very deprived when I see lists like Garth's. And having to wait forever (or so it seems) for new episodes of shows I like isn't much good, either.... Good thing I don't mind spoilers for most of them. :D

*sneaks in with a chalked ID*

I was really disappointed with the previous three harry potter films, but somehow I still have high hopes for this new one. sounds like they FINALLY combined the proper length of the first two with the magical feel of the third.

Well I thought it would be only fitting for me to post my 10000th post in this thread. So that's what I'm doing. :) It took me a while to get here, especially cos I haven't been posting much lately.

Either way, drinks are on me. :D

Yo barkeep, gimme a canar and a copy of 'cardassian love slave'. Whaddayamean self-service? Oh well.
Congrats BigFoot on post 10000 but you know, traditionally you should buy us all dinner too. :)
